Organizing Your Life The Easy Way

I was talking to my neighbor one day and she was telling me about how she was, tearing her house apart and painting, organizing and cleaning, which really had an impact on my life.

She was spending countless hours making sure that every little detail was taken care of and it would be, perfect. But, in reality, does anyone, other than her, really care? No one knows about all of the little corners that took hours to clean or the storage area in the back of the closet, that now has everything labeled and has Rubbermaid containers for everything to be stored in.

Just think of all of the precious time that she has missed, playing with her kids and watching them grow. Of all of the things, that she could have taught them about life and how to reach their goals in life.

Just think of all of the fun things that they could have done to help to create memories for her kids to look back on later.

Just think of the fact that when she dies no one is going to say what a clean and organized house that she has, but people may say, what a great mom that she was.

It really helped me to put things into perspective. Yes, I need a clean house and I want to be able to have it organized and am able to find things, but I want to have a life too.

By thinking a little smarter and doing things in an easy and simple way, I could achieve both goals in life. My house could shine by using the right chemicals and I can organize things and put them into proper 'homes' as I am cleaning. Why didn't I think of this sooner?

I have always had a knack for shortcuts and I read a lot, so I know some of the tips and hints that are needed, to get the job done the right way. Now all I have to do is to put that education to good use.

I guess the old saying is true and you can learn from other people's mistakes. It took, looking into someone else's life in order to be able to, see the obvious.

So, now it is time to put the thinking cap on and bring back some of those priceless gems that I have learned through the years and put them to work, to help to better my life and that of my families.

I think I am going to make a list of all of the things that we can do together this summer too. I do not want to miss a minute of it and I know that I am going to have plenty of time to enjoy my kid's lives and myself.
