In order to eat healthily and nutritiously, one must adhere to the three "G" - Grow, glow and go. This is one of the fundamentals in nutrition to educate children in the importance of eating a healthy and balanced diet.

From the very start, man has been used to eating different food products, as well as beverages. And without actually knowing it, these food products and beverages contain harmful chemicals. Although the body has its own way of removing unwanted toxins in the body, sometimes a build up of these harmful chemicals or acids are inevitable. And this is because of the enormous amount of chemicals or acids found in the body.

Different fluids are found inside the human body. The cells inside the body are often affected by the ph level. The ph level is the measurement of acid-alkaline in the body. The body has its own way of managing the so-called ph level; and when it is unable to do such thing properly, the imbalance affects the whole body.

If you encounter stress, fatigue, tiredness, pains or experience pains, poor digestion, aches or a balloon in weight, it may be the red light for you to check your body's ph level to see if it's too acidic.

The three things that might contribute more to the body to become overly acidic are ingesting acids, creation of acids, and improper acid elimination.

When you consume food high in acid content such as processed meat, alcohol, meat, dairy products, and coffee, you are depriving your body of a chance to neutralize the acids that are already present.

Why can't our body be too acidic? An acidic medium is the ideal environment for living organisms such as microforms, yeasts and bad bacteria to thrive and grow. They in turn, release acidifying toxins, making our body even more acidic than before.

If you are thinking why the various systems in our body which includes fat, breath and mineral reserves do not work, you may want to ask yourself, "Are the acids that are currently in our body been removed?" Do bear in mind that acids vary in strength, and the collective quantity of acids built up over time will cause the systems to cease to perform their task properly.

I've always thought that my body will be able to take care of itself, and taking the extra step to detoxify was the last thing on my mind. It was only until I've realised that acids are considered toxins, and toxins, as the name suggests, needs to be rid of, that motivated me to take an active in my body's detoxifying process.

The first lesson I've learnt when I just started detoxification was that there isn't any shortcuts. It takes discipline and commitment to pursue a detox plan and the best results are from proper diet and nutrition. Some tips to share are: eat food high in alkaline content, drink lots of water, and take supplements that you need.

There are also alkalizing products available in stores which augment the ph balance.  A well-maintained and balanced ph level will prevent acid build up in the body. If you think that, you're one the many people who has already formed an acid build up or are very acidic, start a detox program now.

Some people express incredulity at the need to detoxify, but the truth is, your body needs it. The merits of detoxification more than justify the self discipline and determination put in. Just remember that in life, efforts need to be undertaken to benefit you and your body, and these efforts are certainty worth the while.
