These days, it seems like every other person you know is starting a new business. But is it something you can actually do too? As a wealth coach who specializes in helping people become millionaires, my answer is a resounding, "Yes!"

You see, millionaires rarely work for other people. They don't sit around waiting for paychecks. Instead, they figure out ways to create income by using their own resources. Then they invest their profits in such a way as to grow their wealth exponentially. They do this by using a process called The Wealth Cycle™, which I describe in detail in my book, The Millionaire Maker.

An important aspect of the Wealth Cycle™ is creating what I call a Cash Machine. This is a business you start, or one you improve upon, whose entire purpose is to generate substantial cash flow as soon as possible. It's my argument that if you are serious about being wealthy, a Cash Machine is not optional, but essential. So what, exactly, does starting a Cash Machine entail?

Start your Cash Machine Now

First off, you should know that a Cash Machine is not necessarily your dream job. It is simply the job that will bring in the most money today. So when deciding what kind of business to start, look as far as your existing skill set. You're going to bring in cash much more quickly when you don't have to spend time and money training for new skills first.

For example, you may dream of having a retail store. But if you are currently a high school teacher, a good Cash Machine for you would probably a tutoring business offered on weekends and nights. Good Cash Machines also have a low barrier to entry. For instance, to tutor, you don't need to rent office space or buy extra supplies or equipment before you begin.

Whenever you start a new business, it's always wise to seek out at least one mentor or coach. Attaining guidance from those who have started successful businesses is invaluable. Good mentors and coaches can help you grow more quickly and smoothly than if you took the alternative path of trial and error on your own. They will also be able to help you with marketing, a crucial element in any new venture's success.

You've got to get your head straight first.

And important aspect of being an entrepreneur is your mentality. First, you must be willing to take calculated risks. No one ever became a millionaire by resisting change and risk. Secondly, you must be able to view obstacles as challenges to overcome, not reasons to give up. And third, you must be committed and patient. Lasting success rarely comes overnight, and successful business owners have realistic expectations in this regard.

Although it often surprises people, I do not subscribe to the popular saying "Do what you love and the money will follow." I believe that to do what you love, you have to first learn the skills required to successfully run a business doing what you love. A Cash Machine allows you to do this. It not only leads you to your dream job, but it enables you to make money along the way.

Wealth building is possible for anyone who learns and uses the right skills at the right time. Loral Langemeier literally creates millionaires, and she does it using a well-honed and tested system that anyone can learn. Creating sustainable wealth does not need to remain a mystery!
