I have dreams every night just like everyone else in this world. But there is one dream that I will never forget…
It all starts out two years ago, when I was 7 years old - I had the best dreams when I was 7. The dream was about my family and me. The dream starts out with my friend, Shelley and me, playing with my dog, Shadow. Then her mom picked her up. It was around 10:00 (she was going to spend the night but she did not feel good). So I had to go to bed.
When I woke up around 12:00 I didn’t see any television and was confused. I also did not see any of my cd’s or radio and now was “weirded" out. Suddenly, it was like none of those things were invented.
I asked my parents to if they knew where they were but they said was “no." I was surprised! So I walked next door to my friends house but her and her family where not there. I thought since it’s a hot summer day there probably out on a family trip. I then tried to call my friend Shells (Shelley) but I got a recording saying, “This number does not exist." I then called her grandfather’s store and again I hear, “I’m sorry this number does not exist Please try again."
Now I was starting to get suspicious. I called all my friends but had no luck. I told my mom and she was trying to call all her clients before I got up and she too had no luck. Now, my mom and me got suspicious! My dad even got suspicious when he could not make any calls.
Since we needed some groceries and when we got to Wal-mart nobody was there, not even a store clerk yet the store was open. So we still went shopping and paid for everything even though nobody was there. I wanted to spend my $20.00 I saved so we all went to the mall. When we got there nobody was there to so we brought Shadow in the mall. I spent my money on new shoes and tried something: I put other shoes on and went through the security system. When the alarms went off nothing happened and nobody came to check us. It seemed as though we were the only people on earth.
When my dad and me got in the truck, I told my father to speed to see if anyone would stop us. He did he got the idea. But not one policeman came. And no one was on the road. Now we had the idea and it was scary and weird.
Two years later there was still no one was on earth. It was amazing that we could own anything that we wanted – even a mansion – but it didn’t matter because there wasn’t anyone to share it with.
People need people and should not be alone. Alone is not good no matter how much you have.

Laura, that is a fanciful dream. Are you a writer for Star Wars, by any chance? Keep it up, girl. You are golden.
