You will know them when they ask "who are you voting for"? Yes people do feel disenfranchised by the wealthy and powerful, why, because they are by the simple facts all about them. Now frankly I am a little direct at times. I don't wish to be rude but once again sometimes you have to write strongly to get attention. So when I titled this I thought to myself. How do you know who these people are that vote for these candidates year after year? The answer came back clear as day. You will know them when they ask "who are you voting for".

Who are they? Well in my opinion these are the ones who ruined America. These are the ones who don't know the issues, could care less about the issues. They are only looking out for what they have. They are the ones who have and have profited by this economic mess. They are in my opinion the takers, the exploiters, the greedy and the one's who connive and yes, how can we forget the ignorant. Harsh, well one needs to be when your life and future has been taken away for you and trashed. Oh, our own fault. That says it all.

You know them. They live near you. They are at church. They work with you. They are your friends or family. Yes you know them well. So listen  when they ask and then counter with who are you and why? Then wait for the answer. The Easter Bunny answer. They look and say  the ever present "I Hope" or "I think" or the proverbial," it doesn't matter, they are all the same".

Hey just an opinion but one based on the signs and symbols all about us each and every day. So I just thought as I have done previously that I would go back into the papers and glean out a few articles sprinkled here and there to perhaps wake up, if at all possible for those who like these candidates and vote for them and those who sit and do nothing but gripe.

First off lets talk about the history making run for president by Mr. Obama. Predictions are he will garner 95% of the black vote on being black alone. It speaks a lot about issues and if they really matter verses what is the real issue, race. History my friend and evidently  it matters not if he is the right person, just history. Now I empathize this is truly an historic occasion but with the nation in the mess it is in, rhetorically speaking, could there be a motive to put a black or even a woman in office at this particular time? Personally in my opinion I see nothing new, but race and that is why I have no hope in him. No not because of his race but becuase of what he has done or failed to d for all. Need one 31.9% interest, need more then read my otehr artilces. Yes ,others perhaps, him no. To me it is about doing, no more no less. As dad always said they all put their pants on the same.

So one wonders when a 19 year old black student stated in the paper "I feel like we really have a chance to make history this time and actually change things" what is behind that thoughht except race? Now I would ask this young lady just what does she expect to be changed? Opportunity for blacks, yes. That i will agree on. Yet will it change their lives? Well in my opinion he will be different by nature of race if elected but not much differenet then everyone else. Rhetorically, then how can anyone say you are not biased or racist when the only thing that counts is race? I feel it is a fair question to be answered. The real issue here is once elected will he be the agent for change for all and do what is right for the common good? This man, the real factor, in my oinion has already flipped on issues, is following the same pattern as all these other politicians do and holds the same views he always held and they do. Yes and you want this agent for change solely because he is black?

As for the other guy, I have to say he is a carbon copy of Bush. Here he is the other day flip flopping on drilling for oil off shore. Yes him and the governor of Florida who said when he was running for office, get that running, before being elected, he would never allow that. Now they have heard the cry of people. Just like "I know, build the fence first". Rhetorically was their hearing bad and it just came back?

Now Mr. McCain was up in Canada promoting more free trade. He never mentioned SPP but NAFTA. His statement "The United States doesn't intend to retreat behind protectionist walls". Of course he was speaking to his favorites, business executives at a posh hotel affair. He actually stated Free Trade has resulted in stronger growth and employment in both countries. Has this man been to America lately? Oh yes even while Air Canada is laying off 2000 workers and GM is shutting down a plant in Canada. Hey facts as reported in the press he evidently doesn't know about? Has he been to our once industrial states?

I guess that fits into line for the additional 12,000 refugees from Iraq they will bring in. Rhetorically of course for the most part are these the cream of that society? The little guy, average Joe in Iraq. Well sorry we have enough cheap labor. More Comprehensive Immigration perhaps?

Yes and what about everything else in the press? Has it been good and do you expect the reporting it to be complete? Teachers already being laid off, 4 day work week possible, bus fuel costs soaring, how do they cut and where. The police, well they have gone ticket crazy. Someone has to bring in the money. Yes all about cuts, cuts and cuts.

Foreclosure help, give us a break. The rape of Americans via usury, hey it's a good thing for the banks. People trying to save their lives. How dare they buy a home with the help of a relative and walk away from that home that isn't worth what they owe and no help available. yes thats right none, nada, zilch, zero. Survival doesn't matter we have enough cardboard. Hey one could write and write and write about this and people will never understand or know. That is until it hits them.

Oh yes and now the rest of the Paul Harvey story Reverse Mortgages". Read the article and fine print. You want the facts check you local area. First you need equity, got ya. Only those who own have that or who have a small mortgage. Secondly your local governments controls what you can borrow on your own home. Third the magic word Credit Worthy. The never tell you that my friends and many just buy into it lock stock and barrel. Oh and yes they never quite explain you just gave them a piece of that equity and for a nice fee. Yes when you have you can do. Oh and by the way even these types are doing it to survive.

Now finally the Repo man is back and booming. Get yourself a tow truck and go to work. Oh I'm sorry you are not credit worthy enough to buy one. Yes as reported in the St. Pete Times delinquencies in dealer arranged auto and truck loans in the United States reached a record high", need I go further. Yes and they predict it to get worse. Like your home your car isn';t worth ½ of what you owe. Yes, but cheer up, there is always someone to "help you" get that new car you always wanted or need. Just read the fine print. Be late and hour and you keep the loan and they take back the car to sell to some other sucker.

No, in my opinion, this is not a world of Love of neighbor, good will, compassion,  mercy  and for anyone to say it and really believe it is well they are either lying or ignorant. Sure individual acts but I am talking in the larger sense. This is truly a dog eat dog world and the victory goes to the dominant, those that have. It is as simple as that. Yes and those reading this who are just like the ones I am talking about are saying to themselves what is wrong with me. It has always been this way, exactly. So hope all you want the facts, the truth, the reality is right next door.

Perhaps that is why the bible says "the meek shall inherit the earth". Wow, where does that leave all the rest?
