You've got your ride, the family car. But you have a sweet ride picked out for later. You can even picture yourself cruising in your bad mobile. But first, you have to take the First Time Driver Course D.A.T.A.
D.A.T.A. is short for Florida Drug, Alcohol and Traffic Awareness Course. You have to complete this before you can even apply for a Florida Learners Permit or take the test. No stress. Hold on to that sweet ride dream for just a bit longer. Their are alot of Florida Online Traffic Schools where you can take the 4 hour D.A.T.A. Course. It's almost a no brainer. As you know, taking it online is much easier and you can do it when you have the time. You can even break it up into a couple of sessions.
The Florida D.A.T.A. Course covers the following:
1. Physical effects of Alcohol & Drugs effects on your driving
2. Psycological effects of Alcohol & Drugs on your driving
3. Economic effects of substance abuse on the world
4. Basic Florida Traffic Laws
5. Basic Florida motor vehicle operation
You can see the theme here, don't drive messed up. It doesn't sound all that bad, does it? The 4 hour D.A.T.A. course will be over before you know it. The course is really pretty easy. It's a combination of text, graphics, animation and even some videos. You will be on the road in no time.
The Florida DHSMV just wants you to be prepared for what you'll experience on the Florida road. They also want you to get the hint about the effects of alcohol and drugs on your driving experience.
Now bring back that sweet ride dream! Almost ready to roll! All you have to do is take the Florida First Time Drivers Course.

hi dirk,
we are in new jersey, and i believe that is the biggest fear of a parent, with kids starting to drive at 17! i don't think they have the skills or the ability to think through how much alcohol they've had before they drive home or to another party to suck down more alcohol. it worries me greatly. "i'm fine" has turned out to be "I'm dead" once too many times.
thanks for sharing a well written article,
best regards,
