Democrats, republicans, independents, and what have you

Politicians are all seeking a seat in the political spotlight

The people are trying to make sense of all the pooh

They find themselves feeling - quite uptight

Conservatives, liberals, the far left and the far right

All claiming they are the answer to all the country's snags

The speeches they give as they prolong their fight

They say they are serving all the states flags

With the cost of living soaring to record heights

They will solve the problem - at least so they claim

They are working hard to win our vote,- they hardly sleep nights

It's all part of our political process - we play as a game

Imagine a world without politicians to tell us what to do.

All the people doing their job as a family of man

Do we dare to imagine or we just don't have a clue

As we are led to the poles to cast our vote all part of the plan

Perhaps someday we will see the light of truth and honesty

And then - we can move on to a brighter day

For honesty and integrity eliminate all of the dishonesty

This represents a new day in which so many do pray
