Is it me or has everyone gone crazy? I’ve just finished reading an article written by SF Gate columnist, Mark Morford and now our guy Obama is considered a “Lightworker" and “The Enlightened One?"

In his article, Mr. Morford states, “…it's not merely his youthful vigor, or handsomeness, or even inspiring rhetoric. It is not fresh ideas or cool charisma or the fact that a black president will be historic and revolutionary in about a thousand different ways. It is something more. Even Bill Clinton, with all his effortless, winking charm, didn't have what Obama has, which is a sort of powerful luminosity, a unique high-vibration integrity….

…Here's where it gets gooey. Many spiritually advanced people I know (not coweringly religious, mind you, but deeply spiritual) identify Obama as a Lightworker, that rare kind of attuned being who has the ability to lead us not merely to new foreign policies or health care plans or whatnot, but who can actually help usher in a new way of being on the planet, of relating and connecting and engaging with this bizarre earthly experiment. These kinds of people actually help us evolve. They are philosophers and peacemakers of a very high order, and they speak not just to reason or emotion, but to the soul…."

Is there something I am not getting here?

A Lightworker? I don’t think so. The man wants political power, period. Morford also claims that Obama “can help usher us in a new way of being on the planet." True, Obama is not claiming to be on a mission from God but clearly an “Obama cult" is forming that is endangering our vulnerable America.

The love affair with “The Enlightened One" grows by the minute with many celebrity endorsements: Streisand, Susan Sarandan, Oprah, George Clooney, Halle Berry, Robert DeNero, blah, blah, blah….

As Streisand sings, “Don’t Rain On My Parade," let’s go over a few facts:

1.    Obama stated his father was a goat herder when, in actuality, he was a privileged, well-educated youth, who went on to work with the Kenyan Government.

  1. Obama stated that his father was “a proud freedom fighter" when, in actuality, he was part of one of the most corrupt and violent governments in Kenya.

  1. Obama stated that his family has strong ties to African Freedom when, in actuality, his cousin, Raila Odinga, created mass violence in attempting to overturn a legitimate election in 2007, in Kenya. It is the first widespread violence in decades. The current government is pro-American but Odinga wants to overthrow it and establish Muslim Sharia law. When Odinga lost the elections, his followers burned Christians' homes and then burned men, women and children alive in a Christian church where they took shelter. Obama supported his cousin before the election process in America started. To verify these facts, Google Obama and Odinga and see what you get. No one wants to know the truth.

  1. Obama stated that he never practiced Islam when, in actuality, he practiced it daily at school while registered as a Muslim and kept that faith for 31 years until his wife, Michelle, convinced his to change to Christianity for political gain. For further information, check out: http://www.wnd.com/index.php?fa=PAGE.view <http://www.wnd.com/index.php?fa=PAGE.view&pageId=60559>
  1. Obama stated that because he lived in Indonesia, he has more foreign experience when, in actuality, he was only a small boy living there between the ages of 6 through 10 and was not fluent in the language.
  1. Obama stated that he attended a Christian school when, in actuality, he was registered as Muslim and “got in trouble in Koranic Studies for making faces." (Referenced from his own writings in his book, Dreams from My Father: A Story of Race and Inheritance.)

  1. Obama stated that an article in Ebony Magazine “moved" him to run for office when, in actuality, no such article exists.

  1. Obama stated that he was a Professor of Law when, in actuality, he was a senior lecturer on leave.

  1. Obama stated that he was a Constitutional Lawyer when, in actuality, he was a senior lecturer on leave.

  1. Obama stated that without him there would be no Ethics Bill when, in actuality, he didn’t write, introduce, change or create it.

  1. Obama stated that the Ethics Bill was hard to pass when, in actuality, it only took 14 days from start to finish.

  1. Obama stated that he wrote a tough Nuclear Bill when, in actuality, his bill was rejected by his own party for its lack of all regulation and pandering.

  1. Obama stated that his Economics Bill will help America when, in actuality, his 111 economic policies were just combined into a proposal which lost 99-0 in which even Obama, himself, voted against the bill.

  1. Obama stated that he passed 26 of his own bills in one year when, in actuality, they were not his bill but were handed over to him after their creation by a fellow Senator to assist Obama in a future bid for higher office.

  1. Obama stated that he is tough on terrorism when, in actuality, he missed the Iran Resolution vote on terrorism and his good pal, Ali Abunimah, strongly supports the destruction of Israel.

  1. Obama stated that he passed 900 bills in the State Senate when, in actuality, he only passed 26 with most being written by others.

  1. Obama stated that he has always supported Universal Health care when, in actuality, his plan leaves us to pay for the millions of people who don’t have to buy it.

  1. Obama stated that he has always been against the Iraq War when, in actuality, he wasn’t in office to vote against it and has voted to fund it every single time.

And the list goes on and on and on.

Clearly, anyone who cares about our land will see the destructive effects at having an “intern" in charge of our fragile America.

On a side note, this Obama fanaticism is reminiscent of another era when a man also promised “his people" he would solve all the problems in the world. He claimed to be leading the world into a New Age.

His name? Adolph Hitler.

Hallelujah! There is an awakening in our land. People are realizing that freedom isn't protected by extremists and radicals who would subvert the morality and ideals formulated by 300 years of Patriotism. You keep telling em, Judi. Folks are beginning to look past the gossermer glimmer and see the evil in the shadow.

Ted, you say, "... Folks are beginning to look past the gossermer glimmer and see the evil in the shadow. " - I hope so, because I haven't seen that; quite the opposite but we need to continue to pray and take action or this we once called the mightiest nation in the world will be dragged to the deepest pits without any hope of resurrection and then what? Thanks for commenting, friend!

Bravo, Judi!!!! I don't get America's fascination with Obama. He is one of the most radical liberals to ever run for office. I am not enamored with him or McCain, but Obama is way out there! Very informative and I'm glad you are one of the "enlightened" ones when it comes to what Obama is really about!

Hi James -- not only do I not understand America's fascination with "The Enlightened One" I no longer understand were we are going as a whole; this is not the America that I grew up in and as I often say, too many are choosing to "sleepwalk" -- I was astonished by the reaction I received when I privately sent this article to people I personally know: many became "angry" with me because I am not enamored with Obama - I don't get it at all! Thanks for taking the time to comment and I hope this finds you well -- I miss your articles!

Obama is a standard issue liberal. That means he wants all the wealth and power to be in the hands of the government, and none in the hands of the people. That is the essence of communism. Obama wants everyone to pay attention to the sound of his smooth talking charming voice, instead of the content of his words - because he knows his charm sounds great on the surface, but his words simply make no sense to the intelligent, freedom loving entrepreneurs that keep this country alive. I won't bore you with examples of this. Obama is also an America hater. He wants to talk to our enemies. He does not want to openly debate John McCain. He would rather read a prepared statement uninterrupted, so he can broadcast that charming voice of his without the risk of revealing a dim intellect by trying to answer common sense questions in a live setting. He tells us we use too much energy, and that he is ok with gas prices being too high. His only problem with gas prices is they rose too quickly. Huh? He wants to raise our taxes and use the money to rescue the poor of the world. Most of the poor of the world are the desperately poor in other countries who are oppressed by resource robbing dictators who will confiscate any resources sent their way. Our money will change nothing in those countries. Obviously Obama thinks we have way too much of this and that. His solution is to give it away to others by the force of our own laws.

Our country was created during a period of time when the countries around us were dictatorships. The revolutionary war separated us from one of them. The framers of our constitution knew our country had to be a democracy to survive, because only a free people will create the resources necessary to drive a country, and therefore it's people, to prosperity. The only way to accomplish this was to structure our government so it's authority was spread so thinly among so many people that one person would never have the time or energy to scoop up enough authority to become a dictator. That strategy has worked so far, however, the population of the United States lives within a thin line between dictatorship and democracy. That thin line is getting thinner. I will explain. The US Constitution created our US Government by creating it's three parts. The Legislature creates laws, the Executive gives orders to compel people into action to create whatever the new law says should be created, and the Supreme Court decides if the new law supports the freedoms the US Constitution demands that we all have. Our freedom is theoretically created by the fact that each of the three branches have equal power, so no one branch can suddenly decide the other two no longer have power. If one of the branches could suddenly make that decision, we would have no choice but to follow it's directions, regardless of how doing so affected us.
The Supreme Court has acted beyond the power granted it, on many occasions, by the Constitution that gave it it's power in the first place. Several Justices have recently said they believe their opinion is superior to the intent of the constitution that granted the court it's power. That is exactly the same thing as the house you live in telling the foundation it sits on that it is no longer important. In that situation, the laws of physics clearly say the house will fall down. If our Supreme Court continues to willfully disregard the document that gave it life, the legislature will have to step forward to balance the over step of power from the court. If it does not, our legal structure will eventually collapse, just like the house without a foundation.
The truth is, the real power in this country belongs to the people. The constitution grants power to the federal government as a whole, BY THE AUTHORITY OF THE PEOPLE. The ultimate truth is, we either use our power as WE THE PEOPLE, or we will lose it.

Hello Anon, I am assuming that the last two comments were left by you and I thank you. As an American who values my freedom and loves my country, I tremble at where we are going at how the masses are "sleepwalking" as we loose our freedoms that our forefathers fought so hard to preserve. There are many, in their own way, who are trying to wake up those in slumber especially our very own Robert Melaccio on this site yet, it seems, the words get lost to many.   You summed your thoughts beautifully in your last paragraphs when you penned, "... The ultimate truth is, we either use our power as WE THE PEOPLE, or we will lose it." I am not even sure if many understand that concept anymore and if not then God help us all. Thank you for commenting.

No, Judy, I think everyone's gone crazy. I have always respected your opinions, but this list wouldn't pass a 3rd graders critical thinking test. It's just a mish-mash of quasi-facts. 1. Couldn't Obama's father at be a goat herder and priviledged and well-educated in his lifetime? 2. Is everyone in a corrupt government corrupt? 3. Can Obama have strong ties to African Freedom and have a cousin was not? 4. There is no proof that Obama was a Muslim, who would want to keep these rumors going? 5. If Obama lived in Indonesia between ages 6 - 10, wouldn't that mean that he does have a perspective that many others don't? This is how he presented it, and to misconstrue his statement would be supporting a lie. 6. Could Obama attend a Christian school participate in Koranic studies? 7. Sounds like being forgetful, not an evil lie like outing a CIA agent. 8. If he had the title, then I guess he can say that's what he was. 9. If he had the title, then I guess he can say that's what he was. I'm not very political, but even still it's easy for me to see that the full picture isn't being presented in this list. I can't figure out why you, Judy, would want to associate your good name with this list. There is so much fear-mongering going on. It appears to me that the Republicans are using fearful Christians to pass on propaganda because when you are fearful you don't check the facts. I hear people saying all the time that they are afraid that Obama will become our next president. I'm very afraid of another 4 years of no energy policy, over-budget spending, and lying to the American people. It seems to me that everyone is crazy.

Anon,  let's just suppose that all the facts researched about Obama is propaganda and false. Irregardless of that, this is NOT a man I choose to run my country. America is in it's most fragile state both spiritually and economically so why on earth would we vote anyone in who has neither the experience nor the foresight to pick up the pieces? There is an old saying about knowing a person by who he associates with and that alone is a telltale sign. I, personally, am not happy with anyone who ran and is running but to build someone up as many are doing with Obama is utter insanity. If you know me, than please identify yourself;  the anonymous label is making me feel as though you are hiding which is not necessary. The beauty of being an American is that we are all entitled to express our opinions openly and freely. I have traveled to lands that were in communist reign where friends were tortured for far less so I know the value of our land - I just am not ready for our leaders to destroy it.  I am neither a pundit or a political analyst; simply an opinionated American citizen who is very concerned about the future of our land.

I've finally figured out who you are but will honor you. You write, "...  It appears to me that the Republicans are using fearful Christians to pass on propaganda because when you are fearful you don't check the facts...." well, just for the record, I am neither a Republican nor a Democratic and don't live by fear but by observation which is what all we should be paying attention to. I was told the same over a year ago by someone when my "gut" told me the economy was heading down the toilet and my answer was the same then; never fear; only observation. I know I can't  change a heck of a lot as long as people continue to sleepwalk and put idealistic blinders on; we are not talking about a social event here; we are talking about our country and many, many lives. Stay well and I hope to see some writings of yours posted - you are missed.

Judi, my name is Larry. I left the two anonymous comments. I am new to the searchwarp community. Thank you for your kind words. I forgot to add one thing to my posts. At least one Supreme Court Justice (I think two) has either stated or implied that although their most recent decision was to uphold the second amendment, they said they could have easily eliminated that right if they wanted to. The arrogance of those Justices is remarkable - to believe their personal opinion carries more authority than an amendment to the US Constitution. The only good news is the executive (president) is the only person who can give orders. The Justices are limited to responding to requests for their "legal interpretation" that are sent up to them from the lower courts. Those requests begin as lawsuits. Unfortunately our Supreme Court is doing it's best to act like the Executive instead. The real source of our constitutional freedoms is this: Our government branches spend so much time, energy and money fighting with each other that they have very little of it left over to use to dictate their will to We The People.
I know you have strong opinions about Obama. I do too. Let's step away from Obama for a moment and look at the fundamental concern here. A lot of people, including me, feel that "We The People" are slowly but steadily losing our freedom. The real question is how do we begin to restore that freedom?
What is causing us to lose it? Let's look at some basic facts. The president of the United States is often called the most powerful person in the world. That is not true. The President is the most visible person in the world. That creates the illusion of being powerful. Being visible is not the same as being powerful. The President is only the CEO of one third of our government. He can veto legislation, but his veto can also be overruled by that very legislature. He can hand down an executive order, but the Supreme Court can invalidate that same order. What does this really mean to freedom? The President is simply a player in a very complex legal game. If you demand that an elected official, who is not that powerful after all, restore justice and freedom to our country, you will not get what you want because he cannot do it. His constitutionally granted power is not enough to do it. His power would have to be strong enough to overrule the will of the other two branches. The Constitution does not allow one branch to overrule the other two. That would be a dictatorship. Interesting irony, isn't it? Even if the President were enlightened enough to grant freedom and justice to all, our system does not allow him to act as King.
So who/what is strong enough to protect our freedom? We The People are. We are losing our freedoms to lots of low integrity elected officials who are voting our freedoms out of our hands and into the hands of those who want to control them by giving them money. The emphasis here is lots of politicians. Our job as We The People is to find and elect high integrity people into Congress.
Our legal system is made of literally thousands of elected officials. Focusing your attention on only one of them - the most visible one, or the candidates for that most visible office is a watered down way to restore/protect our freedoms. I invite you to study all of the members of your Congress with at least the same energy you have studied Obama. Members of Congress love Presidential election years, because they know the public is looking at the candidates, and away from them.

Hi Larry and welcome to Searchwarp (I hope I didn't scare you away... smile) Actually, I only used Obama as an example for I feel as you do only am not as versed. You write, "...  Let's step away from Obama for a moment and look at the fundamental concern here. A lot of people, including me, feel that "We The People" are slowly but steadily losing our freedom. The real question is how do we begin to restore that freedom?..." Include me and my family as well. I struggle with the complacency I see around me; a phrase I often term as "sleepwalking.:" Frankly, I wouldn't be surprised if militia's are beginning because America is no longer a "We The People" nation as it was intended to be. Sometimes I am at a loss, Larry because before I married, I went to DC often and became dizzy with all the "double-talk" given back from the Senate -- Perhaps being new to searchwarp, you may want to expand your thoughts into an article? I would be very interested. Thanks for commenting and being as eloquent as you've been.

Judi, I am an African and feel it my duty to correct the assumption that one can’t be a goat herder and privileged and well-educated politician at the same time. I come from what is probably one of the most “backward” societies in Africa and spent all my childhood as a herdsgirl while attending school.  We don't herd cattle or goats for fun or for company.  Those cattle "paid" for my education all the way to University.  They were the major source of income and only investment we had.  I am sure it was for Obama's father as well.

Just like Barack Obama, I have attended Catholic schools, Anglican schools and Madrasa schools. I have relatives who are born-again Christians and several pastors in my family and I have relatives who are muslems - one is an Iman. Most of my childhood friends were muslems -- and many of my closest friends still are.  I have memorized Bible verses and I can recite parts of the Koran.

When it comes to education, for most of us in “third world countries”  “religion” means nothing (more than what the “white people or Arabs say we should do to be like them).  All we care about is where do I get the best education?  Where do I get my passport to "civilzation?".  If it meant me reciting the Koran, or going to Sunday school/evening fellowship or completing catechism-- so be it -- or in African terms TIA (This Is Africa!)

I have post graduate education, travelled around the world and have a successful practice but when I go home back to Africa, I take off this whole “civilization” thing I pretend to be and I am who I am --   a herdgirl.  I have relatives who live in mud huts and I have relatives who live in 8 bedroom houses with a Jacuzzi (all in Africa).  I also have relatives who are unemployed drunkards, relatives who work in high positions in the World Bank and those who have politically appointed jobs.   I was even married to a politician -- and yes there are “proud freedom fighters" in the most corrupt and violent governments in African.  Again TIA (This Is Africa!)

But of course one needs some “international" or "foreign experience” to wrap one’s mind around all this.

Hi Christine. I am honored that you felt the urge to respond to one of my articles. I am familiar that you are from Africa and I have many friends birthed there as well but I don't really need your credentials as I don't believe either of us are running for office. I believe myself a fair person, Christine, who is open to diversity and new ideas but for that one would have to look into my background which I certainly welcome anyone to do; I hide nothing especially since I am often put into media situations. I do have choices at my disposal however and nationalities nor race has nothing to do with it. Your last sentence amuses me since you really don't know me but I assure you that I am a great deal more well rounded than you assume. The plain and simple fact is this: I personally don't trust Obama because he's given me nothing to trust and his background is extremely sketchy - period. When you are talking about the future of my country, I don't take that lightly because this is our children's future and Obama, in my opinion, is a charming fraud who has enamoured a great deal of desperate people. What is documented here is not to degrade him but to bring to front mistruths, that's all. So you see, Christine, as you found the need to defend yours I certainly claim the right to fight for my country in any form I can use -- that's what America is all about!

Judi, you certainly have the right to fight for your country and no one is trying to take that right away from you.  If you notice in my comments, I make no mention of your other "facts" because it's none of my business -- I am not American.  I don't even try to say Barack Obama you should trust Barack Obama or that he should be president of your precious country. It's your country you vote how you want.

All I did was correct you on some of the things you wrote that relate to Africans and the African reality.  It's one thing to present mistruths about Barack Obama, it's another thing to distort the reality of a whole continent.  If as you say you have friends born in Africa, they will have told you what I said here.  Our reality ids different from the American reality.  It ust is.  If my putting things in the right perspective bothered you, I am sorry, it had to be done.   The days are over when people said anything they wanted about Africans -- and we sat on our hands and allowed others define us.  Whenever we can, we'll write about our own reality, our own way, how we experience it.

I understand your passion, Christine as I myself am extremely passionate. There are always plenty of misunderstandings regarding other cultures especially if one is not from that particular land. My own background is Spanish and Italian and believe me, there are many misconceptions in relation to those nationalities. Personally, I am not interested in Obama's background nor how he was raised  - I am interested in his character and track record as a leader. The facts documented within this article came from his writings not mine so I have no way to know what was correct or not - It is not about being African, Christine, it is about being noble and honest.

This is not about me, I give that to you, but this has a lot do with Barack Obama's "African" background.  Deny it all you want, the facts speak for themselves. If you are interested in his character you must be interested in how it came to be (background and how he was raised).  You can't separate character from background and the early life experinces that shape character.  May be sub-consciously you wrote about his African father and experience in a muslim nation in the first place.  And if we go by your standard of "being noble and honest" based on Barack Obama's writings, then we can say here that in regard to what Barack Obama wrote about his African father and expereince in a muslim nation he passes the test for "being noble and honest"  because an African (same background as Barack Obama's father and one who attended  muslim schools, can recite the Kor'an but was never a muslim) is saying what Barack Obama wrote is the TRUTH.  On these "facts" alone, now you know what is correct and what is not. There were no lies there.

Okay, I'm going to try this one more time as I seem to be cutting myself off with the computer... Christine, where you are mistaken is is that apparently this is about you and for that I'm sorry. Contrary to your opinion, I really don't care about this man's background, I don't care if he's 100% African or, as they profess, 6% black, nor do I care what color his mother's eyes were or do I care what his favorite ice-cream flavor is and I certainly don't care a bit if his father was a goat herder -- that wasn't the point at all -- For an educated woman, you sadly missed the point in which I am embarrassed for you. Realize this: one's upbringing doesn't necessarily constitute decent character and I can give you tons of examples regarding that statement. It appears that you are wanting to challenge me and, frankly, Christine, I'm up for it but for the time being let's be clear on one thing: there is never anything subconscious about anything I say or write and your pal Obama has not been honest about many, many things. Again, I am writing in defense of my country's future and the future of our land and you are doing what so many people are choosing to do which is why so many people "are not getting it" -- If I were you, I'd do a bit of soul searching especially since you deal with relationships because I am not impressed.

Now who is getting personal here?  I agreed in my previous post that this isn't about me -- and conceded that to you.  But obviously you felt the need to get a little personal with "For an educated woman, you sadly missed the point in which I am embarrassed for you" and "If I were you, I'd do a bit of soul searching especially since you deal with relationships because I am not impressed."  I am mature and secure enough to take "personal" attacks, I just thunk this wasn't  necessary, Judi.  You even call Obama my "pal" when I don't even know the guy.  Hmmm, I heard that one somewhere before "palliing around" with...

I have not in any of my postings challenged you personally and I am not about to start hitting you below the belt with harsh criticism of you as a person. I have much more respect and regard for you than you seem to have for me as a person - and that's okay.  I don't have to be disagreeable just because I disagree with you on some things.  All I did here is put into perspective some of your so-called facts.  That's all I did.  I'd do it again, if I had to.

Christine, I wasn't going to respond but I'm guessing you aren't aware of the extreme passion that many of us in the US are feeling and I think we both are coming from two different sets of emotions. I have offended you and for that I apologize; that was not my aim. I stand by not caring about Obama's background but my anger overtook me as our country is upside down at present and so many are concerned with the trivial details. Perhaps what I was reading between the lines of your comments was incorrect; I hope so. For many of us, this is not about the African culture or anything other than being lied to by our government and having to pay for their crimes which is a legacy most of us want to avoid for our children. I hope we can agree to disagree - afterall, Christine, you are more popular than I am... smile (?)

Stand your ground Judi. Obama is not the kind of leader America needs. There are always threats to Freedom and he is one, a true Socialist. I will vote against him and encourage others to do the same. A Patriot would never utter the words that he has spoken especially when our men and women are deployed overseas in a combat role. Obama is a disgrace to the United States of America and should be tried for treason, not championed for our highest office.

Wow, Judi you know how to stir up the pot. Great responses here and great writing. As you know we share many of the same views.

I can't understand all the fuss over Obama, its more like the rage over a pop culture icon than a prospective head of state.

Keep up the good writing.
