Brochures are one of the best ways you can promote or advertise a particular service, product or event that you have. With the right brochure design, you can easily reach your target audience or customers.

Read on for some tips on how to make effective brochure designs. These tips will help you through the design stage, in selecting your printing company, proofing and more.

1.    Collect and Compare
What you can do is gather several brochure designs that you think are effective. Distinguish what works and what does not. What are you competitors doing that you missed in your previous designs? Comparing your prints with others is a nice way to get inspiration and improve your design.

2.    Know your audience
You would have to know who your target recipients would be because this will tell you how you should approach the text you will put in your brochures. Be sure to put in mind the things that interest them because these things are the ones that would make them want to read your pamphlets or handouts.

3.    Keep it simple
Less is more when it comes to advertising materials. You should keep you lines short yet meaningful. At first glance, your audience should easily tell what you want to say in your brochures. Keep details simple so that your brochure will be easy to read.

4.    Do not clutter the layout
Remember that you do not want to include all the details in your brochures. What you should do instead is to use your brochures as tools to pique the interest of your readers. Hook their imagination and leave your contact information so that they may contact you if they have additional questions about your company or services.

5.    Know what and how to emphasize
First, know what elements to emphasize. After doing this, you should know how to effectively make them more prominent over the other elements in your design. Use bold letters, a bigger font size or you can also use a different color.

6.    Pick a color
Consider your budget when picking your colors. When the budget allows it, I recommend using full color printing since having full color allows your images to be vibrant and lively. Also, if you want to have a unique color that you want to use in your logo, you should try and avail of pantone colors or spot colors. These are special order inks that enable you to print a specific hue accurately no matter how many copies you print.

7.     Paper stocks matter
You should also consider the thickness and the finish of the paper because the brightness of the colors is enhanced when the right paper type is used. Bright white paper stocks bring the best out of your full color prints.

8.    Do not ignore your proof
Proofs are almost always ignored especially when availing of online printing services. You must always check your proof for all the possible errors because the time you spend proofing your work will be worth it since it is better than having to reprint your brochures.  Remember that once the proof is approved, you can't do anything anymore. Also, always opt for a hard-copy proof so you can see how accurately your printer can maintain color accuracy.

This composition is projected to give the readers information about Brochure Printing and on how brochures can help you in your marketing schemes and provide you a higher sales rate.
