Millions of people have no thoughts about spirituality and those who do, are comfortable with religious worship one or two hours per-week or with performing ceremonies and the reading of some religious books. Those who absentmindedly listen to Sunday sermons will still be bestowed a degree of inner heaven, faith, transitory spiritual satisfaction, peace and a few answered prayers, that much and nothing more. Earnest people who have become content with mechanical worship and spirituality better not take for granted and assume their salvation or deliverance. There is very little value in the eyes of God when verbal praise is offered without real awareness of His equivalent response.

Parroting up prayers is a meager physical practice with no actual thought about Him. These prayers are no better than teaching a parrot to repeat the name of God. If you love someone, would you tell them "I love you" via a recording? Using talkative, blind repetitious prayers will not get the response hoped for, yet God will not remain distant to the one that prays sincerely with faith without giving up. It is impossible to find salvation praising the name of the Lord or uttering crescendos of hallelujahs. Many people do not know about the practice of meditation to feel the presence of God. This is the unquestionable reason so few enter the kingdom of cosmic consciousness.

Many people doubt that heaven even exists because they cannot see it but you do not see them doubting the breeze merely because it is unseen. The breeze is known by the motion and sound in the leaves and the sensation it puts on the skin. Agnostics and atheists of the world want proof of the existence of God. If they would only look hard enough they would find God hidden behind the gross debris of matter. Like the breeze, the invisible presence of God moves, breathes and lives in the whole universe. These are the heavenly forces behind the debris of matter.

There was a man who was given some olives. He had never seen olives and was told that these olives were full of oil. The man cut the olive but could not see any oil, not until he was shown how to squeeze the olives to extract the oil did he understand. The same way, God's invisible presence saturates and permeates the whole universe. To see God in his material concealment one has just too metaphorically "squeeze" him out of hiding.

There is absolutely no offering in this world you can make that will persuade God to reveal himself except in true devotion or in the union of meditation (yoga). Faith or belief in itself are just bypaths. Divine union or yoga is the complete path. It is the one and only universal experience to the attainment of God-realization. All spiritual practitioners follow the path of yoga as the unifying way to make the final approach to God. All true religions will lead to God. However, some routes are shorter while some paths take a little longer but beliefs will ultimately merge in the same unifying experience of God.

Some men rebelliously protest why the Almighty, the all-powerful God who knows of men's sufferings would let vulnerable mortals suffer from the scourge and temptations of evil cosmic illusion (maya). Do not assume that God is enjoying himself in his heavenly existence in selfish joy. God is definitely suffering the tragedies of man's delayed evolution to his heavenly Paradise. God's compassionate love has been expressed munificently. He has sent us Divine saviors through incarnate sons whom audibly speak his silent voice of the kingdom of heaven. This is just one of myriads ways God shrouds himself in anonymity and in utmost secrecy he bestows on humanity endless benevolence of food, life, air, sunshine, love and wisdom.

When the normal child starts crying for its mother and the child is given a toy, the ordinary child is satisfied and stops crying and has forgotten why it was crying. However the persistently crying naughty child who refuses to be satisfied with toys compels its mother to approach and give of herself. We have to be like the persistent naughty child if we want the loving presence of God. Normal children of God must likewise endure the painful traumas of life with pessimistic resignation due to spiritual negligence instead of successfully demanding Divine union. The continuously crying naughty child at last draws the response of the motherly aspect of God. To her persistent little child no surrogate consolation will suffice. The compassionate Divine Mother will come with her comforting love and wisdom. Those who cry for God and truth refusing to be satisfied by any lesser worldly gifts will be saved and comforted.

Most desire-driven people are like unmanageable rafts hurrying down the violent flow of earthy life, headed over stony falls of devastating experiences into the stupor of death. Those who steer their wisdom guided boats out of the controlling currents of customs and social rules will arrive at the shoreline of the all-saving fulfillment in God. The cry for the pleasure of earthly toys must be transmuted into burning fervor for the presence of God. When worldly toys are put aside, and like the naughty little child, mankind's cry for God alone, then he will come. This is what great spiritual masters experienced from the silence of their soul-crying fervor.
