Today, the Supreme Court has liftted the ban on hand guns in the middle of a recession, right when people are loosing their jobs, therefore their Healthcare, their homes to foreclosure, can't afford the gas prices, have to take public transportation and reacquaint with each other, oh... but I feel so much better now because my hand gun is now legal!
Is this the definition of an American?:
"As a true patriot, I believe our eminence is unquestionable. I look at myself as an American who believes in America's path no matter which path it selects because I know God is on our side. And if God places struggles on our path in order for us to grow and learn, then I am willing to let the predestined weak Americans and some aliens (illegal ones, preferably ) pay the price for our mistakes. What do I care? I'm safe! I have a hand gun! I know right from wrong and the Supreme Court says so, too. That's what Washington wanted. That's how our dads did it and it has worked pretty well so far! Thank goodness I believe that we can bring pain to our planet and still survive because that's God's will! Yes, Fellow Americans, America will prevail!"
Personally, I don't know what a true patriot is but I don't fear being cautious especially when I know I might be light headed by my own blown ego capitalizing on past glories.
So, I say to powerful America, the true minority of our country: weigh the power of your responsibility or rather weigh the responsibility of your power because when the sh#@ hits the fan, don't you dare hide behind democracy as if we're all equally in this together as if WE'VE made YOU make those decisions under our solemn powerless vote wrapped up in our foggy dreams and our saddening ignorance (birthed by a dying educational system). You see what we can't see or maybe you don't want to see what you CAN see because we might end up seeing what you can see and you will then have to awaken to your responsibility to democracy. So, when the top of the pyramid will stop playing poker with the bottom of the pyramid that thinks it's playing "Go Fish", we might finally experience a real forum of open conversations called DEMOCRACY! Remember? Thank goodness our institutions will protect us from our greedy power mongers... aw wait! Oh, the last ones actually own the first ones! AW MAN!!! We're screwed! Time for a miracle or another burning bush!
