When it comes to mid price range, there is particle board and the most expensive is glass, solid timber or clear acrylic.

You can use a shelving unit to divide a room or display collectables. They can hold books, photos, mementoes, clocks, appliances and other decorative items. You can find them ready made or have them custom built. Whatever you choose they maximize your wall space. There are many options for wall shelves in the market place. They have free standing, hanging, modular, adjustable, floating and fixed. There are also a variety of shapes. They come in rectangular, round, square, curved and triangular.

Adjustable shelving is the most practical. With pre assembled units you can fasten them to a wall and transport them easily in one piece. This is also a good choice if you tend to rearrange your room often. Free standing shelves fit inside a wooden or metal frame. Another option is purchasing one with a track system. This allows you to move and adjust shelves to any height or width. You are able to tailor the shelves to fit your needs. This is ideal for a child's room, so they can have items placed at their height for easy accessibility. For a formal room, make certain you purchase a shelving unit that is sturdy but also matches the architectural style of the room.

When hanging wall shelves you must have proper wall attachments and proper bracket spacing. This is needed to prevent sagging of the individual shelves. It is important and wise to measure before you make the purchase.

The wall shelves you choose will seem to make the room come alive with its charm and beauty. This organizational addition will become an integral part of your room.
