Once was a boy
Named Willy McCoy
A really wonderful guy
He found a gun
Hunted someone
And shot him right dead in the eye
Now Willy had reason
For hunting that season
Someone had stolen his bride
They raped her over
Ravished and rolled her
And when Willy found her she died
Now Willy was wise
So he went in disguise
Dressed up like a lady, he did
When the killer was found
He was tied up and bound
Before Willy could take off his wig
When the killer saw Willy
He thought he looked silly
And called him a few choice names
Willy went crazy
He thought of his lady
And shot the man out of his brains
Oh, poor Willy, Willy
Poor Willy, Willy
Willy McCoy
He shot a man when he was a boy
He round him up
Bound him up
And shot him in the eye
Oh Willy, really, your a wonderful guy
Now Willy went running
Cuz he had done something
That scared him right out of his mind
He hid in a cave
Learned how to behave
And now Old Willy's a clown
You can find him in town
If you look around
On the corners of First and Main
With his face painted white
And his nose red and bright
Old Willy will sing in the rain
He hands out old flowers
And round wooden dollars
And blows up balloons all day
When he finds a boy
He'll hand him a toy
And then run him off to play
And he'll sing you a tune
On a hot afternoon
In the heat of the scorching sun
He'll fall on the ground
And roll all around
And act like he's having fun
But Old Willy's a wino
On the streets of Chicago
He has no home of his own
He wanders at night
Without any light
Searching dumpsters from home to home
A brown paper bag
Will make some child glad
With a mouth, a nose, and eyes
Two empty cans
And some old rubber bands
Binoculars to watch the skies
An old rusty bike
And a crumbled up kite
And he'll come up with something that files
Oh Willy, really
Your so very silly
But everyone knows why you cry
Oh, poor Willy, Willy
Poor Willy, Willy
Willy McCoy
You shot a man when you were a boy
You round him up
Bound him up
And shot him in the eye
Oh Willy, really, your a wonderful guy
