Eid is the biggest event of Muslims. It comes after the ninth month of Islamic calendar Ramadan. It is present from Allah for the Muslim for their Fasting of a whole month.

The preparation starts before a month or with the start of the Ramadan. The home will be cleaned and work of decoration will be on its height, for this purpose they rush to shopping centers so many times. Every one go for shopping for new dress and new sandels and sleepers, specially girls, women and the children, women go for shopping for buying clothes, sandels, jewelry, and specially the bangles.

In start of the day after bathe the Muslim gather in Masjid and attend the Eid prayer. This is the special prayer for Eid and held only in big Masjids and in large open areas like stadiums. After that they go back to home to take their break fast, generally it consists of sweets and deserts and then the celebration really begins. Muslims go to meet their relatives that day and it continues for next two days. Different kinds of meals prepared for this day and specially for serving the guest. The special sweet dish for this day in Pakistan is Sawaiaan.

Children get money as gift of Eid called EIDI on every visit which is generally brand new bank note. The usually the amount is little but they get plenty which sum the amount lot for children.

On streets different kinds of fun fair going, with kid's games, bar b cue and much more. Children had the chance to spend their money there by buying candies, sweets, play games and rides.

On Eid day most of Muslim families make gathering on one place and spent lots of hours with different kind of activities like eating, making gossips. Relatives who stay out side country due to work and unable to join the family get-togethers, they do call their friends and family on this special Eid Occasion. In Pakistan sending gifts for Eid occasion is now become a part of Eid celebration specially those who lived abroad and cannot spent Eid day. Therefore they show their emotions through sending flower and gift in Pakistan to their families, friends and loved ones which normally include gifts like Flowers, Cake, Sweets called Mithai, Chocolates, Fruit Basket, KFC, Pizza etc.

Sending Eid gifts like Cake on Eid is a new corporate culture too, multinational and local companies specially consumer based organizations do send flower and Cake on Eid to their customers.

Sending Fruit Basket & Mithai Tokra between recently engaged in laws families on Eid day is also a traditional event. Generally after engagement or Nikkah and before marriage both engaged couple send gifts to each other on Eid day normally consist of clothes, shoes, perfume etc and it will continue on every Eid before they finally get married.

Eid is s religious occasion which clearly teaches the lesson of peace, kindness & humanitarian behavior which is the basic point of Islam.
