Is creating the wanting, for sobriety real and possible?

If you come from a place where everything is possible and life is all about possibilities. Then sobriety is defiantly a possibility. So how does one create a possibility? Nothing is possible with out intention, then action then the result of the action.

To have an intention to do, or have something is merely a small percentage of the result, and action 99.99% of the final result. Should you want to cross a river and have the intention to do so, and you take no action there will be no result. By taking action and starting to move forward and crossing the river. You might start by walking, due to the shallowness of the water near the bank of the river, then as the water becomes deeper you might have to result in swimming, until you reach the shallow water on the other side you will start walking again. When you reach the other side the intention of crossing the river has a result, only possible by taking action. The action always changes, you apply the appropriate action for the circumstances or position you are in at that time, but it remains action. On the journey to sobriety you must have the intention for sobriety, then you have to take action, the action you take will change all the time, so when this is not the same as you intended it to be, you have to do a different actions to get to the result of sobriety.

This all sounds very simple, the reality is, that it is very simple. We complicate life so much that nothing seems simple anymore. By keeping your life simple the choices you make will work for you, it's that simple. I do not use this term lightly, you have to keep it simple.

In the first article cure for addiction I mentioned that there is a reason why people become addicts, and by not resolving those issues the addict will relapse again and again .Remember we are all addicts of some sort. The lock that I spoke about at the age of fifteen is based on what we fear at that stage. Everything we do in life is fear driven, we do things out of fear for the consequences that was past on to us by our parents and society. That said, doesn't make it bad or wrong, it is what it is, and we act on it. We act on it often and we know what happens when we do things often enough, it becomes a habit. Keep on working hard every day and keeping late hours becomes a way of life, out of fear that you might be poor; the habit of working hard becomes a way of life. The balance in life is not there anymore, we start battling with our relationships, for there is no more time for relationships, at home and at work, and it all escalates out of balance or control.

That fear needs to be addressed. You will probably not deal with it or identify it for what it is, and you might need guidance. You need to address the lock, caused by the fear, and then all the escapes you used along the road to where you are now, and then start a new habit that works for you.

By understanding this you can create the reality of sobriety. The guidance I spoke of will be counseling or workshops you can attend to help you with your own truths.

Make a new way of life.

Make it up if have to.
