Here is a recent letter sent to my state representatives and specific committee members such as the powerful Senator from a Northeastern state. I hope you will use it as a basis for you to send one of your own making to yours. You see it goes way past just complaining, it gets to doing. They shall know you not by what you profess, how slick you speak or how much bling you wear, no by your works, what you have done or failed to do? Where do you stand?

Dear Sir, we spoke months ago on this very topic and still nothing, nada, zero, zilch. I just find it disheartening coming from a majority of people who profess a belief in God. In my opinion the entire foreclosure help package being considered is no more then a sham. Why, in my opinion in what I have read it does little to nothing to help average people in distress and certainly nothing at all to eliminate the Credit Card fiasco and usury that is causing many to become defined as unqualified, non credit worthy, or irresponsible, even though they are paying their mortgages and perhaps may have fallen behind but not into foreclosure. No, while you all talk and talk and talk the fire rages until there is nothing left to save, why? Rhetorically is Credit Card debt default the next great impact to our economy, or is it at the door?
I've been to the bank, these recommended helpers, and I've talked to these Credit Card holders. In my opinion sham is the best way to describe it all. Yes even though, and get this, our car and our utilities and yes our home was being paid and they knew the funds were there and they knew this we were still not "Credit Worthy", because ofCredit Card debt. UNSECURED DEBT, SIR. that you all make secure by the laws you write and implement.Yes you write the laws that make unsecured debt all of a sudden secured debt. Yes many paying until they raised it to 34.9% 29.9%, 31.9% and then tacked on fess and charges, etc. Then all of a sudden that $75.00 payment became$225.00 a month x 3 and they could not pay any longer. You eliminated the risk they took. You offer no payback help and neither do they. Hardship, please sir, you are an intelligent man.
Please give us a break and do not demean yourself by saying there is real help. No more then a cover in my opinion. Yes a usury debt Congress and these banks helped to create and washed their hands of. What is killing us and many in my opinion is legal usury. Yes usury sir. Rhetorically, and I do apologize for speaking candidly but it goes past me how anyone in the halls of Congress can, as professing decent people walk away from this? It is just way beyond me. I'm sorry "you shall know them by their works, what they have done and what they have failed to do".
No sir it is not in the words but in the deeds. Election day for me and mine and all we can influence is anti Republican and yes the same goes for the Democrats. We can do no worse replacing you all. Yes and while some may smile, keep in mind this movement is sweeping the nation more then anyone may realize. There is a backlash out there that is growing in intensity and in my opinion it will show itself on election day if Congress does not do what is right and needed now.
