Question: Someone suggested God loves those who worship Him more. Is this really true? Aren't we all equal in God's eyes?
Answer: There are only two types of people with God. The saved and the unsaved. God loves us all the same, yes. When we were yet sinners, He sent His Son, Jesus, to die for us (Romans 5:8). That's how much He loves everyone in the world.
On the cross, Jesus took our sins--past, present and future. He paid for them. God judged Jesus for our sins. However His death overpaid our debt, so He also took our sicknesses, our pain and every evidence of the curse in our lives.
There are people who hear this and accept Jesus right away, and there are others who don't.
The ones who do are now in right-standing with God. They have become God's sons and daughters and are able to partake in the inheritance of God. They have everything in Christ.
The others are still trying to survive this life. Some are trying to earn their way to Heaven through their good works, which isn't possible (Isaiah 64:6). Only through Jesus are we saved (John 14:6). When God sees them, He sees their muck, their mire, their potential and, of course, their sin.
When He looks at Christians, though, He doesn't see their sin. No, He sees Jesus' shed blood that cleanses them of their sins. Not once but always because I John 1:7 in the original Greek tells us that the blood of Jesus continually cleanse us. Without stopping. Isn't that wonderful? His blood continually cleanses us even if we sin.
Does God love sinners more than us Believers? No, but He is something to us that He is not to them. Father. They can't come boldly to His throne and cry, "Abba Father." They can't stand on the promises of God and inherit them as we can. They can't spend time with Father Daddy, just feeling Him love on us for no good reason. They can't experience the fullness of His grace and mercy. They must receive Christ, the One and Only Way to the Father. No one comes to the Father except through Him (John 14:6).
If we try to earn our way to Heaven, we will wear ourselves out trying to accomplish a goal that is not possible. We will still end up in Hell, but if we accept what Christ did for us, not only will we go to Heaven when we die, but we will inherit all God has for us as His children.
What do we inherit as God's children? For one thing, we inherit His peace (John 14:27). Not our peace. His peace, which is the Hebrew word Shalom, which means nothing missing, nothing broken.
That is quite the opposite of the world, which would have us worry about everything from terrorism to the failing economy, from the bird flu to who the next President of the United States will be and whether celebrities are mentally ill.
No, God has forgiven all our sins. He has healed all our diseases. He has redeemed us from destruction. He has satisfied our mouths with good things so that our strength is renewed like the eagles (Psalm 103:1-5). Jesus was also made poor (anything outside of Heaven is poor) so that we can become rich (2 Corinthians 8:9).
Why does God want us healed, forgiven, delivered, renewed and rich? Easy, so that we might be a blessing to others because we cannot give what we don't have.
God loves the world so much that He wants us to help Him reach others for His Kingdom. We are God's hands down here on the earth. As such, He must bless us so that we will be a blessing to others just as He did Abraham.
Some believe that inheriting the promises of God is selfish. If we don't inherit them, though,, we are discounting all of what Jesus died to give us.
My mother and I used to split the Early Bird special at a certain restaurant. It came with the meat, vegetable, roll, salad and pie. Even if we were full to the brim, we would still take the pie home because we paid for it
For most people, if a purchase came with something free and the person didn't receive it, he would drive back to the store and demand the free gift because he are entitled to it.
However most of us aren't willing to claim everything from God in which we are entitled. We feel we don't deserve it and didn't earn it. We feel like we are stealing from God.
God wants to give us these things free of charge. He knows we don't deserve healing, prosperity or a sound mind, but they are ours through Jesus' death, burial and resurrection. It has nothing to do with us. It has everything to do with Jesus, and what He has done for us.
If a billionaire, such as Bill Gates or Donald Trump, offered us a million dollars with no strings attached that we didn't have to repay, most of us would take it. However when our Heavenly Father offers us wealth, prosperity, healing, success and so much more with no strings attached, we hesitate to accept it.
Once we become Believers by accepting Jesus, we are His children. He is King of kings. That makes us princes and princesses. Princes and princesses don't earn all their riches. They are simply entitled to them because of their title. They are to enjoy the royal lifestyle because of who they are. It is their birthright just as it is ours.
We are God's children, and everything He has for us is our birthright.
Does God have favorites? No. Then why do some receive healing and others don't? Why do some receive prosperity and others don't? It is because some receive and others don't.
The people who receive know that it is God's will for them. He has some children who sit in the corner, crying, begging and pleading for what is already theirs. If they would open their hands and receive, they would see that.
God does not have favorites. Learn what you. According to Ephesians 1:3, you have everything that pertains to life and godliness. You already have it.
Remember you are not fighting to get the promises. You already have them. You must stand on that victory ground, knowing you have already possess everything you will every need. Receive those things today!

Hi Annagail, thank you for your boldness to proclaim the Gospel. I only have one comment that concerns me each time I read your articles. and that is you write as if Christians should never be sick or have disease. I know you quote "by his stripes we are healed." and that is an amazing verse, but in context I believe he is talking also talking about spiritual healing which is without question for everyone who claims the name of Christ, But to imply that those believers who are sick and diseased because they simply haven't received "the right" to healing is a sad thing. I know many Godly men and wome, faithful til the end who did not receiving healing and they prayed with faith. God heals for his greater purposes and he prospers those whom he wills. Not all believers are wealthy and 100% healthy. In my opnion , this teaching can be detrimental to the faith any believer, especially a new believer. In all things spritual, yes 100% healed and restored, but not always physcial. Sometimes phyical healing takes place the moment a believer breathes their last breath. Anyway, just had to share. So youre telling me that all the elderly who died natural deaths could have gotten healing and lived for eternity on earth (never dying) if only they would have "received" it from God? And what about all the disciples who were executed for what they believed in? Would they have experienced healing if they would have just imagined that they "received" it? Did they have a lack of faith because they couldnt "receive" healing? What about my mom's best friend, a devoted Christian, who died of cancer. Did she die only because she did not "receive" healing from God? Basically you are saying that God's will is for us to live forever on earth, never dying. Youre saying since we choose to not "receive" healing we are choosing death, not because it is God's will, but because we are not strong enough Christians. Maybe you should re-read the Bible.
