I have been writing to these issues for years and it amazes me that it still hasn't sunken in for most. Certainly my recent articles has spoken to the title. Now when one talks about patriotism in my opinion one could have many varied perspectives. Honor, belief in my opinion  all relative to deeds not just words. Certainly these politicians feel they are patriotic, honorable and yes even believers and to that I do not debate or argue or even dispute as they see themselves and in what they believe is that. Yet, as i stated,  I am more interested in their deeds. What they do or fail to do that demonstrates that for the common good of all Americans. Therein is the contention the conflict, the disagreement.

You see what is deemed right for one is not necessarily for all. What one does and how it impacts others in relationship to what they profess is  by deed what they evidently really believe. Yes what they openly profess must be reflected in their deeds otherwise what they say are no more then mere words that are hollow and empty. So, why do many buy into the hollow, the empty, the shell? Why are they so positive and hopeful when reality says otherwise? Hope I have no problem with even positive thinking, but I am a realist as well and while doing both I'd like to see some reality from them by deed. That would serve to strengthen my hope.

Example, a talk this morning with a disabled Vietnam vet about who he was voting for indicated he liked McCain. Why, I asked did he favor him? Well, as i suspected from his military cap,  the war of course. Yet he never heard about Comprehensive Immigration, never heard of SPP or The North American Union and basically told me, he wasn't at all sure about Free Trade and he didn't know too much about Credit Card interest and debt or Foreclosure, not really interested. He was voting strictly on what he perceived and he liked the Republicans and the fact McCain had served honorably. Hey a fact, but so did many millions more. Does that make them qualified to be president? Does that exclude any others just as patriotic, yet who did not serve? Hey, that summed it all up. I ended that anyone who served in combat in my eyes was a hero, period. From the guy or gal on the front lines to the guy or gal carrying the supplies up the road or feeding the troops. If they were in harms way they are or were hero's.

As if to illustrate what I am getting at and what I write to within, just today another article about a man dying of cancer that I thought appropriate along with all the rest that is impacting our nation. In my opinion  it kind of sums up what I am expressing in my opinion about what these two candidates are saying, but not doing.

This man was dying and was suing his employer, who wouldn't pay up on the insurance he had purchased. They were a large Global wealthy business. Well to make a long story short the message was DIE and on the way out it is ok if you and your family go into debt. Sorry, it is all within the law and we are after all a nation of law, yea, right? Yes, hey, tough luck, you know how expensive it can be to cover your Cancer? The judge obeyed the law and gladly returned the premiums. The man got just over $2,000. It seems by fact the law is written to disallow any large payout and it has been this way for sometime now back into the 90's for you Democrats. How strange don't you think, yea, right? Yes the HAVE TYPES take care of their own. You better hope you don't come down with Cancer in your old age and are depending on that policy you are sitting on. It won't happen to you, yea, right.

Yes and then I picked up the Sunday paper, a paper that went up 50% in price and there on the front page of the Parade magazine section was a Patriotic image of both presidential candidates. Rhetorically, is seems marketing is sure alive and well. Yes, alive and well, sell the image, not the content, right? Cover them with a flag and a smile and the cattle eat it up. MOO! Hey I didn't know who had the bigger smile. Yes and the magazine well, what was the intent of that article? Rhetorically, should we not understand they are supposed to be patriots?

Yes Senator Obama ["faith in one another as Americans]" was his statement in the article. Senator McCain, well he ["was putting the country first"], yea right. How was Mexico and South America Senator McCain. Yes how is Comprehensive Immigration? How is SPP and The North American Union? How much more of America are you too going to vote to give away with Free Trade? Yes how many more American jobs? Yes, its all about America right. MOO? Yes we must have faith in one another, yea, sure.

Now Senator McCain stated "A cause greater then self interest". Is that right, then tell that to those being charged with what is in my opinion is no more then usury. Charged at 31% interest and fee's on Credit Cards, losing their homes, out of work, working for minimum wage, etc, etc, etc and you in Congress doing nothing. Yes nothing. You know it is a complex matter, yea, right. Then there is Senator Obama " the greatness of our country is the liberty to pursue our dreams". Rhetorically where has this man been? is that positive thinking and we can all solve our problems. Ok lets start with their positive, what are they doing and now?  Tell that to the millions losing their American dream, who are no longer Credit Worthy, or Responsible Americans with no job, low wage employment, no credit and little future. Future for those that have perhaps the rest of us, well learn to get by with less. Positive to them is getting past today.

Here is another, that if I didn't know, I would think one of his scanners took right out of my work "Sacrifice for The Common Good". Excuse me I'm choking a little. Where is this man sacrificing and those like him sacrificing, yes who have, just where are they sacrificing? Certainly what is he talking about when he says "for the common good". The good of who? Has his or any of their works been for the common good? Really, where? Oh excuse me the Sheriff is at the door.

He talks about middle income values when in my opinion he isn't from an average family background. Yet he sells himself as being that, why? Did his folks work in a factory, a steel mill, a warehouse, a garment factory? Were they farm workers, laborers, did they work the low wage average American jobs?  What schools did he go to or for that matter Mr. McCain. No when they speak of background they speak of upper middle class or higher, elite schools, opportunity that many average just don't have. When he speaks of dreams he speaks of being able to walk away form something and have a door open wide. Yes a door the guaranties success. Yes "I'll make him an offer". Why, because they are all cut from the same cloth, the same social string, the same group, the have. Just ask the former Governor of Florida. As reported in the press he touches turns to gold and look at what he left of Florida. In my opinion Sir, there is water in the bow and we are going down fast. I'll be in lifeboat number one. I passed command to Mr. Christ, he'll soon be in number two.

Just where, when and in what did he or Senator McCain or any of them, as they like to infer to as that Washington Crowd and that useless Congress, demonstrate what they speak by deed? I'm not talking 5 or 10 years ago I'm talking NOW. Just where? Yes like the Vet I talked to, many can't answer. Now that vet was one hell of a nice guy, patriotic, lost a leg in Nam, not a rich man, not a poor man, an average American. A retired man living the silent life with what he worked hard to accumulate. A home, a little property, the ability to do some things within his means. He was not bitter over the loss of his leg. Yet when I asked him if he would have known then that Vietnam would be getting our industry, our jobs our work and selling it back to us just a few decades later he said he might think about that all over again. You see he was drafted and obeyed the law. Perhaps if he knew it was all for naught he wouldn't have gone? Yet when we talked he listened, asked and then said, you know something I really don't know what they stand for, their beliefs, their motives, their agenda, they look good. I just believe they love American and will do right. I said, you better be right because if your not forget about it all, too late and frankly their record doesn't support your hopes, a fact made by their doing.

Look the truth is splattered all about in so many ways one really has to sit down and get a grip on reality as to why many are just like that Vet. Nice people who know nothing, really nothing about what is going on. In a way accomplices to what they don't really want. Helping them place the noose around their loved ones head. Yes do you want a scarf around your neck Mr. Saddam so the noose doesn't cut your head off or leave a burn. Oh yes, thank you, so nice of you.

So why bother to write? Yes, who really reads these articles? Just a few like me who investigate, read, hear, listen to the signs and symbols all about? Yes, just the few. It is all in the numbers and the numbers don't lie. The rest, the majority, well they don't care to hear. In their apathy they like the pictures, the smiles, the tapestry and yes most certainly The Easter Bunny. yes like that Vet, many know nothing and won't unless someone brings it up. Yes and even then they follow the old line, "we always vote X".

Hey tired of it all, why bother. It all falls on so many deaf ears. Yes "limitless Horizons" Mr. McCain says, yes for who? No not you, sorry, you're not Credit Worthy, no, your not responsible, no, your not trained, oh and I'm sorry you are no more then cattle. Yes MOO.

Hey, upset, with me? I ask why aren't you upset with them? Oh, I forgot, MOO, and they call themselves men of honor, believers, Americans. I judge a man by his works what he has done, or failed to do not what he speaks. "Show me the money as they say" in the movie, or in this case their record. yes something few can do.

Yes you want change then make it. Hoping, thinking positive is fine but God didn't expect us to sit down and wait. No not even those who preach the power of positive thinking say sit and wait. Take action where and when you can within your means. In the case of many that is writing and voting them all out, Republican or Democrat in my opinion the same. To change you need to   throw out the old out on the new, yes and I agree, don't pour new wine into old skins as the Word says, so why do we? A lot of wisdom there my friends. Does it matter?
