When it comes to slimming down from our waist, it appears that there's a new miracle formula produced daily. But actually, there are no short cuts, magic pills or mysterious workouts.

What Is Stomach Fat?
In a nutshell, stomach fat is just stashed away energy. Your body takes your unneeded calories and places them somewhere safe, waiting for the next famine. But in our modern Western lifestyle, the famine never materializes.

In order to eliminate your love handles you need to undo the cause.

Over the last few years, numerous top experts in the weight loss field have analyzed the problem from all angles and produced the ideal system for melting off and slimming down the fat around your waist, hips and thighs.

I like to name it the 'Eat Less, Move More System'. As fundamentally, that's all there is to it!

Eat Less
OK, perhaps eating less is a bit of a generalization. What you should be doing is eating fewer of the high calorie foods that are packed with saturated fats and sugar and consume more of the whole grain, high fiber foods that make you feel full.

By reducing the high calorie foods you are in effect switching off the origin of your large paunch. Your objective is to put in slightly fewer calories per day than your body requires, so that it begins to use up your fat stockpile.

Don't go too far though. Crash dieting will do you more damage than good and only push your body into attempting to protect its precious store of fat energy.

Move More
In order to burn up the calories and kick start our bodies into slimming down we need to work up a sweat! That entails escaping from behind our computer screen and becoming more physical.

This doesn't mean you have to begin hammering the treadmill. Once you have the ok from your doctor, any activity that makes your heart pump faster will do just fine!

Don't fancy jogging? Then take hold of a pardner and go dancing! Not into weight training? Then take a wholesome, reduced calorie picnic and go hiking through the countryside. If you want companionship as you stroll, take your dog!

Alter Your Lifestyle
When the fat begins to vanish, you will feel healthier and more dynamic. So this is an excellent time to join a club where you can share your passions with similar people. Meeting friends who share your pastimes will certainly combat the boredom that sometimes sneaks in and they will offer extra motivation when you require it.

So if you would like to feel healthier, have more energy and self-confidence, today is the ideal time to lose the belly fat!
