No, this is not a religious message, although many will treat it as such. No, it is fact based on what man has done or failed to do. It is reality in its purest form. With every day that passes it becomes more and more evident that lesson and the folly of placing your trust in man is never learned. Placing your hopes, desires, needs into the hands of man is a gamble at best, a flip of the coin. Now certainly I imply a belief in God as the one true answer in who to trust in because of my beliefs. Do I not have my individual miracles that prove this true. Yet, I do not speak as an evangelist, or to try to convert an unbeliever. I leave that to God to do in your heart. Yet I defy anyone to show me the truth concerning man, believer or not.
Now certainly there are people, or men and woman of trust. They in my opinion are far and few in between. In fact many shun them because they speak the truth, stand by their principals, are usually humble and not pretentious nor seek fame or fortune. They use their "gold" for good and are not corrupted by it.
Why do I write to this? We are now engaged in the folly, yes folly of a presidential and general election. Many have seen the works of those who claim to represent us. Harsh words, claim yet necessary. You see I do not see it in their deeds as to how they can speak to that as being so? Many have and are suffering at their hands. Many hear as the waffle back and forth over positions, dependent on who they speak to, the issue of the day, the mood, so to speak of the crowd varied opinions, stances, positions on topics, events, etc. Yes and in my opinion many, most, the majority who vote for them are the same as them in all ways, do not understand, do not care or sadly are ignorant of what they do and change position frequently as well as blow in the wind as to which way is the most favorable. .
Yes and many profess openly they are Christians while they do not do the works that follow Christians, they talk the works. In fact many do the opposite and yes, arrogantly ignore it. Defiant and brazen they care not to look at their works, the product of their deeds. Rhetorically it is always, in most every case, someone else's fault. Many people expect the same types that take, exploit, use you and come in light to save you, help you, rescue you and yet these are the very same who placed you into your dilemma, your problem, your situation. Yes they will help you when it favors them to do so. They did nothing when they could have to avoid it, change it, stop it.
So, like the devil when he tempted Eve, you are slain by the tongue, the use of words, the promise, the hope, the belief and yes and at the root of it all the want. The insatiable apatite, coveting, desire, need and yes the greed for more and more. So you look at the outer package and you accept, you condone and you believe what is said, promised, and you hope with no real proof that you can trust in this person and in many cases only the opposite, as demonstrated by their works. Yet, you empower them to do for you because, well you are a lifelong party member, they are of your race, you like what they say and how they look, you have no where else to turn, you desire and need someone you can trust. Hey we all do. There is nothing wrong in that, just who we do eventually trust.
Yes even as the words come out of their mouth, one day this, one day that, no consistency, no substance, and saying in my opinion what they need to say for their benefit, their agenda, their goal. I can accept a change in opinion based on reasoning but not an open ended comment from a leader. Change yes, but why. What is the motive? Is it move to the right, move to the center, move to the left as required and they need to be perceived. Yes and no valid record and certainly not in demonstrated works to support their profession in what they say they believe in as they who you want to represent you, who you trust and hope in? Is it a wrong perception, view, perspective that they have been influenced by fact or need or right to change?
Yes, if I may use a current analogy, like the Bachelor TV show, which in my opinion is so demonstrative of society today because people use the word love carelessly for entertainment. Playing with emotions and justifying their hurting of another deeply, emotionally and they do it all as coming in light, good, fair, considerate, kindly, nice. Yes Mr. Saddam let me place this scarf around your neck so you won't bruise when we drop you. Yes and millions accept it, look at it, condone it as entertainment. The use, yes use of another to satisfy personal needs. Hey, that is what it is. Rhetorically I recommend it be called the trophy. Yes it is the same in everyday life and that show just brings it to the fore. Use, discard and move on.
Yes perhaps they do fall into real love and that supposedly makes everything all right? Does it really? There is no carnage in the path? Yes in my opinion just another example of trust. He or she will pick me, because I trust and believe. What more blatant example of society today?
So what can we do as frail humans, trusting souls, sinners? Well we who believe must trust in the lessons learned from our God, our experiences and the signs and symbols all about us. If we do not implement those lessons God teaches and we recognize in life and we do the opposite then we are not, regardless of what we profess, of Him and frankly who we say we are, sorry.
So where is trust to be found in what they say or do that demonstrates they are what they profess to be? Where is the expression of love in 31.9% interest, the condoning of the breaking of law, all presented under the guise of being right, what Jesus would do. So let me ask as a believer, do you think Jesus would steal or condone that for any reason? For non believers why would you want these same professors who do not do to represent you? So why would you support them?
Yes how do you justify being positive about them? On what foundation do you build this opinion or belief on, this hope, this attitude all will be well? Do you blindly trust or do you pray that they will do what is right, hope, believe in God to get you through? Well all that is ok, no problem, but, also, you shall know them by their works. So if you know them by their works can you say God is helping you to know who they really are? Are they themselves not telling you who they are in thought, word and deed openly? Does the thief come and warn you in advance or does he come in the dark, in silence after plotting concealing the motive? Is the deed in the heart and can the thief come as light? Yes, the Easter Bunny package?
So my friends, regardless of who is running in this general election before you cast your vote, know why, really know and if you elect they that have brought harm, despair you help propagate more of the same, that is unless they are suddenly born again or have an epiphany.
Now I do not challenge them as individuals. Their personal beliefs, their patriotism, their personal life. I may disagree but what I am interested in is their performance as representative of the People. I am interested in the fruit of their hands. In what they have done or failed to do, what represents them to me, their deeds in Congress.
Yes and throughout my life I have seen the two faces of man. Yes many times very clearly even as they said one thing they did another. Even when you helped them they had a different agenda. Yes even when they said don't worry. No matter the hurt, the harm, the impact they did what they wanted and for themselves. Have you not experienced this? Then you are very lucky indeed or you care not to recognize it? Yes even among family and close friends.
So what are we to do? Well frankly we must do what President Reagan said "trust but verify" what is the actual fruit of their hands, their deeds, what they have done or failed to do? If we know what we have and if good we are obligated to vote for them. However, if their words are the opposite, not proven, a lie or ½ truth then we have no choice but to vote them out and let another take their place.
As for the President we have no choice in my opinion. By election day they will be in my opinion almost identical twins. However, the real battle my friends is in Congress. If 81% of us do not like Congress, do not trust them, do not think they are doing the job, how do you who vote cast your vote for those in office? How do you justify it with yourself? I'll leave that to you to answer each day when you look in the mirror.
As for me and mine I trust no man. I will vote out who I know and recognize by their deeds not their banter and I will replace them with an alternative. It is not personal it is all about employment. If they do not do the job they were elected and are being paid to do for The People, then we must do what every employer would do, change them. Do they not do the same to you? Yes that alternative may be the same, yet they will be given an opportunity to produce or to reflect on the outcome of their failure to change.
I would prefer they change and now. I would prefer they act now to demonstrate that. In my opinion they won't, period.
