Printing stops working when you have Spooler error. spooler subsystem app is an essential part of Windows. You simply can't print without Spooler in your computer. When you click on Print button in some program, Spooler program receives your printing task. Thanks to spooler app different computers and different users can print their documents on the same printer at the same time.

Spooler subsystem app icon appears in your taskbar when you try to print something. You can find spoolsv.exe in the list of currently running processes. If you experience problems with spooler subsystem app, first of all check if spool sv service is run. You can start or stop spoolsv.exe service file in Computer Management - Services list. Sometimes printer spooler may stop working properly and the user sees spooler subsystem app error.

If you can't print - first of all check if the spool sv service service is running. You definitely have a problem with your spool sv service if you see any error message when trying to print. If you use Windows XP, the possible reason of spooler error can be SP00LSV.EXE trojan infection. Installing printer driver which contains errors or is incompatible with already installed drivers will also cause spoolsv.exe stop. The problem occurs also if spool sv service was stopped by accident or you turn it to Manual or Disabled mode.

Locate temporary directories of your printer driver and delete all files with .shd and .spl extensions. If you have spoolso.exe virus, scan your system with recent anti virus. If you try to solve spooler, things may go even worse. Do not install several printer drivers on one computer unless you really need this. I receive a lot of requests from users who experience printer spooler subsystem app errors.

I am glad to provide help for everybody who has spooler app problem, but I'm a human with two hands and 24 hours a day only. Everybody asks for assistant in solving his Spooler Subsystem App problems. The most complaints tell about error messages that appear while they try to print something. My email is bombarded with messages from users all over the world regarding printer spooler app problems, so I decided to create a program, that automotize Spooler Subsystem problem solving process to complexity of one mouse click and call it Spooler Fix Wizard. You can easily find it via Google. Happy printing!

Excuse me, I am one of those people who needs a table of information, a flow chart, or a numbered set of instructions, in order to follow these directions.
