I never thought of myself as a groupie and I
never thought I would write an article as one. Yet, here I am writing an
article as a David Crowder groupie. Yes, I am so proud.
We see all the time a call to Christians to
support this movie or that movie to show Hollywood that we want good, wholesome
Christian movies. Well, this isn’t one of those articles. However, the David
Crowder Band will be shown on the big screen in select theaters nationwide Aug.
18.
I am not saying you should go as some
Christian cause. Don’t feel like you need to go get the poster paint and picket
signs to send a message to anyone. All I am saying is you should go for one
reason: David Crowder rocks! (o.k., so the groupie part is coming out in me.)
Crowder was one of the first Christian bands
I saw in concert. I grew up not listening to Christian music so at times the
Christian music I listen to now can leave me wanting more. What that more is I
am not sure at times, I just know it is missing something,
David Crowder is different. The first time I
saw him I was energized, excited about God. The audience was dancing,
singing/screaming-it was just a moving worship experience. That is the best way
I can describe it.
Hence, the reason for this groupie article,
you should check him out if you have not already. If you do know his music, get
to the theaters.
David Crowder is just an all around funny guy
as well. I know what singers are like in their personal lives really is not
that important, but for Christian artists it is important. Crowder once told a
story about a squirrel attacking him on our Christian radio station that is
still probably the most remembered story. His humor is off the wall funny. If
you are ever bored and need a laugh, check out YouTube. Search David Crowder
and squirrel and watch through the videos. You can’t help to laugh.
Crowder will be in select theaters on Aug.

Enjoy the night and support Christian
artists. Who knows, maybe next time you will be writing the groupie article.
