Affairs are all over the news lately with Senator
John Edwards admitting to having an affair with filmmaker Rielle Hunter. What
kills me about these articles is that the media continues to showcase how the
wife or victim in the situation is dealing with the news.
My favorite headline today is from FoxNews, "Report: Elizabeth Edwards Was in Anguish Over Husband's
Affair" You think? I would think a woman married to a husband for 30 years
wouldn't be upset at all with him having an affair. Come on, media!
What woman would not be upset finding
out her husband has had an affair? It is the worst break of trust any woman
could ever experience. The person you sleep with, love, believe in, etc. is now
not the person you thought they were and you are forced to realize you were
strangers all along. Add to that a new self-esteem that is bad enough to be
compared to a toilet because your husband found someone more attractive and
exciting than you.
Well, one Australian woman has the
right idea in dealing with the grief of finding out her husband was having an
affair. She is selling the story and proof on eBay.
The woman is auctioning off a picture of a pair of lacy
black underpants "size humongous" and an empty condom wrapper "size
small" found in her bed after her husband allegedly engaged in an
extramarital affair with a woman named Kylie.
Originally, the seller,
"Anna," had tried to sell the actual underpants and said of the item:
"They are so huge I thought they may make someone a nice shawl or, even
better, something for Halloween, perhaps."
But because of eBay's policy that does
not allow used underwear to be sold, she is now just selling a picture of the
panties. Included with the picture is the story about the affair and events
leading to how she found out about it.
She does not list the husband's name in
the sell, but does say there will be more to come. Most likely the hottest item
will be her husband's Harley motorcycle that she says will start at 99 cents.
The bidding is up to $240 on the picture
of the panties thus far, but over 2500 people have viewed it with many leaving
comments of support.

Maybe Elizabeth Edwards could start making some money on this tragedy as well. Maybe sell a few of the promo videos that Hunter was filming.
