What property to buy in Kefalonia?

If you choose to buy a new ready built property, you generally know exactly what you are getting but it can also be the most expensive option as you will pay between 10 to 12 per cent in property taxes and fees.

However, if you buy off-plan, you will get both a good price and you also halve the purchase fees saving yourself about 5 per cent. It is quite usual that you are able to make some changes to specifications in order that you get exactly what you want from the start plus you may add optional extras if you wish. The purchase process is also laid out and is normally much simpler, there is no need to view numerous properties and you have no chance of being gazzumped by another buyer.
