While viewing the Olympics and the worldwide competitions, I could not help but wonder at the awesome accomplishments of this Chinese Beijing multiple extravaganzas. Whether it be athletically, dramatically and architecturally it has been awesome. Even with all of the Communist covert controls, which are there, China can be proud.

Yet in the midst of it all it seems that I may be even disloyal and inappropriate to remember other names and places like Tiananmen Square, Tibet and Nanking where the performances were bathed in blood and horror.

China with its one billion two hundred million people could be a crowning jewel of justice as well as performance. They are a different. Saint Francis Xavier, the extraordinary Jesuit missionary of the fifteenth century saw this people as purposeful, intense and even holy. After converting thousands to Christianity in India and Japan, he died on the island of Sancian gazing longingly at the coast of China.

May the Lord bless this extraordinary land and people.

Can it be a new beginning? In my opinion not for a very long time and to be frank I believe China has a much greater role to play in this age and i do not see that as being one of justice. Good article.
