There are those who will steal, murder, lie and downright run you over if they don't like who you are or even what you look like. Evil ways have made a place in the world and have become an everyday occurrence.

I remember a day when I didn't like or even love anyone. I had much resentment and it almost killed me. I had a lot of growing up to do.

Growth was very painful to me. When I began to get through this process I realized that half of what I didn't like wasn't even worth the thought. Other issues took change on my part. The changes were well worth it and I am still growing.

I praise God that He has carried me and softened my heart over the years. Today I can tell you I love myself and those I meet. It doesn't always mean I like them but, I don't have to be mean and ugly. I can say an intercessory prayer and not go to bed with a guilty conscience over something I reacted to.

God has commanded us to love. He is not speaking of sex. He is simply giving us a plan to be happy. If you truly want to be happy and fulfilled, practice the greatest commandment.

Matthew 22:37-39 (NIV)

37Jesus replied: 'Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.' 38This is the first and greatest commandment. 39And the second is like it: 'Love your neighbor as yourself.'

This passage tells me a lot. I don't have to engage with evil but I can pray. I ask you, "Is it worth it to hate and carry resentment over things you can't control?" "Wouldn't life be better if we did our part so that we could be loved and not judged?" After all, the judging belongs to God.

Heavenly Father, I pray that you would forgive me for the ugly things I have done, thought or said. I ask Lord that you shine through me that I may show love to all those I come into contact with. Let your light shine through me. In Jesus precious name, Amen.

Thank you Davin,

I kept wanting to write something that would bring in the searches yet when I researched what people are looking for I couldn't do it. They want to know the latest gossip on movie stars, politicians ect. I knew God wants me to glorify Him, so I went with this one. People are looking for love, and the greatest love of all is our Lord Jesus. God bless you and thank you.

Thank you Teresa,

I seem to jump up and then soar down. Being a numbers person and watching my rating fade, I wonder what I am doing that could be done better.

Hugs and love,

Michelle as you know evil was always in the world, It took an action by Eve to start it and that she did. She then thought about it and well got Adam to give it a try. Now evil will be in this world until Christ returns to put an end to it all. Us, we who are here and who profess well can we change it, well in my mind no becuase the end we already know. Yet we are to be what he who we profess ask us to be in our works and deeds, the fruit of our labor, love. Great job as usual.

You are absolutely right Robert. The action started by Eve however, and as you know came from satan himself. The author of confusion! I don't know about you, but I get excited when I think of the Lord's return and how everything will be bright when He descends from Heaven. God bless you.

Thank you very much TC. I always try to remember that God's word tells us...'love is the greatest gift of all, and without love you have nothing." Excuse the paraphrasing, but I am supposed to be working. God bless you my friend.

My pleasure David,

Thank you for your comment. I always enjoy when others join in. It almost seems to be an online Bible study. I used to have that quote from the Bible hanging on my wall calender, "Love is the fulfillment of the Law" God bless you.

Hey Michelle,

Love, without it in our lives, we are miserable. It's like we are missing out on something, but yet we don't know what it is. Until that one day, we figure out that we need to love to be loved. Loving others, there's no greater joy that fills the heart.

Very nice article and I hope that people who need this message will find it and read it.

Love you

Thank you Angie,

I too hope that those who read this will at least try to love if they don't already. I personally have been amazed at what happens when I learned to love those that were, as you said "the untouchables"

See you tomorrow

I enjoyed your article. God teaches us love by putting some unlovely people around us. After all it takes no character to love people who are lovely and loving to you. God Bless!

Hi Michelle - at the end of your article, you ask, " I ask you, "Is it worth it to hate and carry resentment over things you can't control?" No, I don't believe it to be. Resentment and anger come from many reasons but I strongly believe that when our day comes to meet our Maker, the biggest question will be how we loved. I also believe that only through the workings of the Holy Spirit can this be accomplished. Keep spreading the message, Michelle, good article!

Thank you Judi! My desire is to continue to spread the message. I love when the presence of the Holy Spirit is guiding us, we have no right to say no. It gives us much joy to listen.

Also, resentment is the number one killer. It can be the common denominator of ugly.

Hugs and blessings,
