What do I mean by that? Well placing the writers on this site aside, because for the most part that just doesn't apply it is obvious in the response to my writings I do not see much sound reasoning and weighing of outcomes, consideration or contemplation concerning much of what happens in our everyday lives or from many people and at many levels. No, not those that do respond but the many who never do and continue down the same path. That capability certainly doesn't seem to be demonstrated in what they do or fail to do. Out of this reality I have formed this perception and opinion. For those of you who contemplate I ask you to consider what I am writing to.
In my opinion only it seems we have become the visual, all seeing, world. If we like the package we buy into it and while we hear do we really comprehend, understand, recognize just what it is we heard and what that means? I go back to school for this lesson. Many children can read but when you ask them what they read and what they understood or the intent they are lost. Never mind me talking to organizational skills, that just isn't so. So as I reflect on my prior articles example after example comes to mind that I have written to. Yes and many intelligent writers have also given their all in trying to understand how and why people don't seem to grasp those things that are right before them. By grasp I mean discern, cope with, grapple with get down to the root, the real issue at hand, the bottom line as the bean counters say. They always seem to be asking why and wondering, lost and perplexed their anser to call another meeting. The meeting to nowhere. Yes the same types pondering the same issues over and over and over. No answer but always repeating the situation and the proposed or intended solution that never seems to come about.
So what do Americans ask? Why are fuel prices so high? Why can't they stop those illegal people from coming into our country? Why can't they end the war in Iraq? The list is endless with no solutions. I was listening to the news about Fay here in Florida. Our Florida Senator was saying FEMA had no plan for housing people should they need to he evacuated. Now he was shocked as were the news people. I might ask what is and was he doing about it all this while? Yes and many love him as being their leader. He presents himself well and "says" all the right things. Yes nice man. Yet what if a major storm hit? Would many love him then?
After all did we not learn from Katrina? My question is why the shock? Now being in the disaster business I can say this, a Katrina hits Florida and Katrina will look like a Tropical Storm. Do they know this. Well one would "hope so". There is that word again, hope.
Now that goes to the root of my article, why the shock? It is evident in my opinion they do not comprehend, understand, recognize the obvious. They do not comprehend nor do they weigh the outcome. It just isn't on their mind and when it is do they have all the facts? How can they stand there and say they do, but take no action? We only see the effect of non action or wrong action. Yes cause and effect. You remember that from your school days, hopefully.
So putting on my Project Management hat one would have to say you have to understand everything that is going on concerning what you are involved with and start getting to the bottom of why it isn't working or what needs to be done. Who does what? When do they do it? Why do they do it? How do they do it? Where do they do it, etc? The basics, the fundamentals. Dah, this tells you what must be done and in what priority. You see everything has a priority and everything is impacted when those other tasks, assignments, projects, are not completed on time as required. What does that equate to. Well reason it out. Oh, I'm sorry, dah?
Now for something not to be done there are but a few reasons. Impact, incapability, someone has said don't do it, focus in other places, lack of resources, not a priority, whatever. When those things happen do the people involved recognize, understand, see the consequences of their actions or non action and how it relates to the big picture? Well that all gets back to understanding, comprehending, weighing and reasoning. So what you do or fail to do is in essence success or failure.
As I look at these politicians and our leaders in all area's of society many see ineffectiveness, complacency, a lack of knowledge and understanding. In my understanding it certainly isn't because they have not attended schools of "higher" education, because the vast majority in charge have. So is it a lack of knowledge, capability or comprehension that cause them to do what they do?
Why do I reason that? Well is it not fact that they pass legislation that mostly harms not helps and they help the wrong ones to boot? In fact are they focused on the right things? They say there is help from the government when it is a mere shell. They say they will do something but can't deliver. They make threats but can't back them up. They see the blatant breaking of law and they hear the lies, the cover up, the redirection and that is all they know. They never seem to be able to address the issues and the effect it has. Example Usury. You will just never see it addressed, why? Think about that, the answers are right before you if you can understand, comprehend. For the general good and welfare, where, when?
Now there are only two or three assumptions one can make. They are incapable, they don't care, or perhaps a different focus? It is as simple as that. So if we look at incapable then we must understand these leaders and most people in this nation even while having some education just can't reason and weigh outcomes, make decisions correctly or initiate actions that resolve issues. Our leaders even more then the masses by their deeds have demonstrated this quite literally as a real possibility. So problem after problem after problem continues with hope as the caveat.
So we must, if we do not adhere to this theory that they just do not comprehend, their cognitive and reasoning not there and certainly they can't weigh outcomes, then there has to be another reason. It is that simple. They might not care. They have theirs and are making it at a rapid pace regardless of what happens to you. Now since we know by fact, that is those who can reason and weigh things, we see a nation divided into the have and the have not. It is fact by simple economic statistics. No I didn't make it up it is right before you. No and it has nothing to do with race. All people who have not are being exploited, Blacks, Hispanics, Whites, Red's and Yellow, pick one, all the same, being used and abused. Yes it is that simple. So not caring cold equate to profits, wealth, power.
Then finally there is the last item, that no one dares say. You know "why don't someone say something"? What it is also that simple, there is another reason. Rhetorically could it be another focus, another agenda? If you are intelligent, are capable and don't do, or do what you do to favor that agenda, then you did it via reasoning and weighing of the outcome. You do it deliberately.
So I leave it for all of you hoping types and all of you voting for these two parties to "comprehend", to think about it, weigh it, reason with it and come to your own answer. For me it is quite evident in what they do or fail to do. Not what they look like, how well they speak or even the words they say, their promises, their race or sex nothing more then the Easter Bunny in new clothing to me.
The answer lies in the fruits of their labor and if you, sorry, don't understand and comprehend that as truly the answer as to why we have the situation we have, then what more can be said?
