I gave this letter to my son on my birthday. You may believe in another Messenger of God, which is OK, but you may find the content of this letter worthy of reading since what is written is hidden in every mother's heart so I thought I should share it with you all! My dear son this is my birthday gift to you! I thought I should give this gift' to you when I saw an questioning and innocent look on your wife's face when you said why you should go to her family hometown ,today!
This gift is not implies any wrong doing but is the essence' of years of experience and most of all being a woman!
All the teachings of Baha'u'llah are for the living one human being with another in perfect harmony, and to know that whatever we do for the sake of another human being thinking that is for her/him we are mistaken since is not for her/him but it is because of the love which we have for Baha'u'llah and His teachings and since we don't live with Him, physically, we have to learn our lessons by practicing on another human beings, first on our wives, husband , children , family and then on entire world. And this is most difficult lesson which we have to learn and the biggest test for us is the one who is living with us, our companion, and wife/husband!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! So whatever you do for your wife, her family and yours is for the sake of loving Baha'u'llah not anyone else!!
So if you reach to the heart of your wife and unify with it' you have reached to the heart' of the world and the rest of the way will be much easier since you have passed the most difficult test in front of you and if you don't, God forbid, even if you bring thousand to the Faith but you still haven't passed the first and the most important exam, which is the first covenant that you have made with God through marrying one of His loving creature!
Now is the time of digesting the pure honey' which you ate one year ago!! And these years of your married life are very important for establishing a strong foundation of which, God willing, last in hundreds years to come!
So this is the answer to your question of why you should go to her home town earlier than anybody else's'?
You should go for the love of Baha'u'llah to make so many peoples hearts happy, first your wife and then those who are so close to her who will become your children's grandparents , aunts and cousins!
