Hats off to Bebo Norman one of today's popular Christian singer/songwriters! He recently decided to reach out to Britney Spears and share the truth of God's word. He released a song named after Britney. His goal is to help her turn to Jesus in her time of need.

While Bebo Norman is an unusual fan of Britney, he is showing the true love of Jesus by witnessing to her. His song tells of how our culture lies to young women. It tells them that fame and fortune is what is beautiful and gives life. I would dare to say that we all know that life is in Jesus Christ.

Bebo Norman's song is an apology for the deception of what society has relayed to young women and then an invitation to the truth. He hopes that it will relay who God is and that He is bigger than the pain that the world often leaves people in.

Personally, I think this is a great example of love.

I don't know about anyone else, but I want to be a witness for God like that.

You're right TC! I always have the saying 'just one more for Jesus' in my mind. I want to hear the words. 'Good and faithful servant'

I know I have so far to go as I fall so short. I am blessed however, because I know where true happiness and beauty come from, and it is not the world.

hi michelle,

this was a well written article.

i don't know if i'd like my problems aired on live radio, or TV, or how that would affect my desire to get help, but everyone is different. i think i would have written a song that is more generic, since there are many more with the same problems as britney out there. i haven't heard the song yet. i do, however, know that if one isn't ready to receieve help, no amount of trying on other people's behalf, will do much but aggravate the person. i hope i'm wrong, and britney and many others get the help they need.

Hi Sue!

You're right that someone has to want help in order to recieve it. However, it is up to us to plant seeds. Maybe someone said something to someone years and years ago and whatever was said finally took root and was understood later. I know that this is part of my story. Twenty something years later and I finally got it.

As far as airing people's problems, well it really isn't a good thing, but that is the life of showbiz.

Even being in ministry, Mark's and my life have been aired. It was all okay though as todays news is yesterdays history. We both know that only God knows the real truth.
