These last three years or more since becoming a shut-in I have had the opportunity to progress from writing poetry to writing articles. I will admit I'm certainly not the best by a long shot but it is rewarding that many thousands of people have read and commented on those poems and my articles. During this time I have literally come out of my blindness [not physical] but my site in relationship to the world all about me. You see for a long time I was blind to it all. I had [and allowed, yes I had wealth and I allowed much. It just wasn't my problem, I had mine. Only until all I had disappeared and there was no one there but my family and a friend or two at most did I recognize the world as it really is. Of course there are those who care, individuals, those who are what they profess they are. No, I'm talking about everything else that makes up our society, our world. That my friends is the facade I have come to know quite accurately. Perhaps more then I like to know, factually.
I became sadly aware that this world is really a facade. Why you ask? Well look, yes, stop and look, really look. Take a moment to reflect on what is going on all about you. It really is an eye opener. It doesn't matter where you are, look. You can even be in your living room watching TV news but if you look close you will see the facade. Yes like worker ants people scurrying back and forth in their own literal small world, job duties, obligations, things to do, oblivious to everything going on about them but that which impacts them directly. Now you may ask should they be involved with all that? Well no, not in that context, but in what is going on that impacts us all. People so consumed with their own lives they do not see that and many really do not care.
So through this awareness I became so painfully aware of how those in power came to identify us as the " Bovine " masses, the cattle and now I cannot fault them. It is literally correct by what we do and fail to do. Hard to take, but none the less fact.
Some of my very first articles "The View from the Pew" and "The Coming Storm" written years ago have come to fruition in this day over and over again. I see and hear each day media people of renown now suddenly espousing much of what I have written to and while rewarding personally it kind of saddens me. Why was it not there years ago, the same situations and yet not seen? Yes the answers very clear to those who do see, but with a much different eye.
Why would it sadden me you ask? Well that question is simple. Example families, people and their circumstances that mean nothing to most. Is not much of what is happening to them wrong? I remind you your answer speaks to who you are as an individual. Now of course that is not all of you because many who write to me see it and some have even become aware through my work. Yes those who understand my writings and think the same encourage me to write to these issues and continue. For that they are always fondly thought of. Yet the truth is not what people want. They prefer to get away from their facade, to seek comfort in others problems, mundane activities, gossip and that which redirects them from their own situation. Yes that is why the sudden surge in seeking others to solve issues. Nothing wrong with it but it is symptomatic of our society. Many seeking those who can't solve their own problems and never raised a child and yet others asking them how do I, etc.
Now certainly I hold no malice toward anyone for having an opposing or different perspective or opinion. Yet I seek to ask them to provide that different opinion with substance so that I and others may understand why they are of their opinion? No, not hype about history, looks, speech but works. Not yesterday's works, NOW works and fact. Yet and this is not bravado, pride, insolence or any other negative you may want to apply to me, but the facts are they rarely to ever present facts, substance, truth. They literally reiterate, regurgitate the party line. In many cases almost word for word.
They talk around the issues and never to the issues. Yes, sorry, they write around the issues. Example, well once again, one really sore spot, as those who read my articles know, is Usury. Yes Usury. I have defined it for you in my prior articles, you can look it up and many know exactly what I am talking about. Yet, many run from it. Many do not address it and in fact redirect away from it and they comfort themselves by literally saying people should be "more personally responsible". Good to say when they have. Ok they made it through hard times, history once again. They know all about it, they lived it, ok then why do you stenotype everyone and lump them all together into coveting? Can it be people fell on hard times not of their own doing?
Well that is not the point, hello, Usury is the point. Yes Usury, not fair profit, no exploitation and greed and the taking advantage of, the destruction of people regardless of how they got into the position they find themselves in. Those who write about their champions of hope or their favorite candidate are many times professed believers. Yes many of them say outwardly they believe in Jesus Christ. Well how many warnings are there in the Bible concerning the rich man? Yes and when does Usury get recognized as a negative by those who say they are church people?
Now that my friends is one example that literally shakes their shoes. You see it convicts and no amount of words, answers, redirection, half truth, ignoring will make that go away. So how, yes literally how do they accept it, allow it, condone it? Why is there no outrage over it. Oh and yes Jesus speaks to it very clearly. No religious lesson because evidently it doesn't matter? You can go to church all day long, be on committee's, give your tithe, sing your songs, do whatever to be visibly noticed but in your heart of hearts where you who say you profess you are God knows your works, your deeds, what you do and yes fail to do.
I can list other examples but like I say, why? So nice people, average middle of the road Americans, I'll accept that, go through life trying to get along, obey the law, not hurt anyone, ok I'll accept that to a degree, want the best for their families, ok, no problem. Yet why is it you just do not see what is blatantly before you?
Yes blatantly and even after reading this many will still will be hung up on trivia, important but never will happen, "smaller government", Free Trade, but not Fair Trade, "I had to work for mine" and yes like our President said America has no problems. Yes, his America and many of you, your America. Yes and a Self professed Christian stating that, do you? Well let him come on down to Florida and speak to me, my neighbor, and the guy up the block, eyeball to eyeball. How about you Mr. Obama, Mr. McCain? No the simple real truth is you HAVE YOURS and nothing else matters. Yes one has to be of that opinion and hope to be wrong but I see no substance that tells me different. No, there is no problem in America for you, NOW.
As for me, mine, and many we are destroyed and short of Hope being fulfilled by God it is gone. I place my hope in no mortal man, no party, no system. I do what I can do, what is possible and sometimes I even get the impossible done. I need no counseling when I have nothing coming in, counsel what? I need no counseling when there are no jobs and they send me to "Career Central" a farce of many farces in my opinion. No there is no help from government unless you fit the racial profile, yes that they ask you every time you fill out a form and yes do you really believe it is census information?
No you who want our Congress to do what it was intended to do, well please do not leave out the line "Provide for the General Welfare" and secure "blessings", etc.

Do you see America today being able to fulfill that pledge sworn to by these "our" representative and those who would want to be elected to office. I ask one time again, DO YOU? No not for just you but the General Welfare. If so where?
No my eyes are wide open and frankly and sadly I do not see it in the majority. Those Democrats flocking to Denver or where the Republicans will meet. No I see a house filled with HAVES and people who's interest [understand this] their interests are for them and them only and not for the "general welfare", of course for marketing but where the tire meets the road we all know what it is about, right?
So I will end with this rhetorical question "Could this be where America went wrong or is going wrong"?
