I think you will agree that a living room without a fireplace is like a kitchen with no cooker, pointless. Even if you are lucky to live in a warm climate there will still be times of the year or times at the end of a stressful day when the relaxing glow or the heat of a fire will be a sight for sore eyes and can make the most bland and cold of rooms into a calm and welcoming place. The good news is that if your room doesn't have a fireplace and you don't like the thought of construction and dust to correct this then you could put in a false fireplace. Available in gas or electri a fake fireplace will give the same desired effect as a real one and with technology today the average person will never know the difference. With this quick and easy fix a room which was once cold and plain now has a cenrepiece feature and with the right lighting and the warm glow can be very homely indeed.

All these types of fireplace come available with the usual surround, by that I mean metalic, wooden and marble, but where space is limited you can also have fires that can be wall mounted and set in to give a spectecular effect and transform an unusable space into a cosy nook. These are convienient for cleaning and altering floors with hearths etc but can still give a great look.

Gas Fireplaces Gas fireplaces come in two styles. Direct-vent gas fireplaces are vented through an outside wall, and vent-free or vent-less gas fireplaces require no venting at all. These fireplaces have a false setting of artificial logs etc but still look very real indeed along with a real flame coming straight from the homes gas supply. They also offer advanced technology such as remote control for the flames and thermostat etc as well as many safety elements.

Electric Fireplaces Electric fireplaces are convenient for their price and portability. Cheaper than gas fireplaces, homeowners can place them in any room where there’s an electrical outlet. They don't require venting, usually have a glowing log effect as opposed to flames with gives off great ambient lighting and is as simple as plugging into the wall. It give an immediate transformation to a rooms welcome factor, the only downside is that electric fires can be expensive to run.

A gas, or electric fireplace is one solution to providing instant warmth and ambience. These fireplaces, fake or otherwise, can instantly transform a cold living room into a warm, inviting, family gathering space. If you have a part of the house that is not appealing and going to waste this might be a solution that is cheap and clean.check out more tips and advice at http://www.your-best-interests.com/fireplaces and http://www.your-best-interests.com/chairs
