Many people say they believe in God, they have faith, God will lead me and help me every step of the way, God is my shepherd, God is everything to me, but do these people really UNDERSTAND HOW GOD WORKS.???

Others say they do not believe in God,- he has done nothing for me.

There is a saying: GOD WORKS IN MISTERIOUS WAYS.- and this is so true.

God does not give anything for free. You have to earn it.- You must work very hard for God to help you. He knows who deserves his help and who does not.

He gave us hands, feet, eyes, ears, brains.- It is up to us how you use them. You can use them to do the right thing or to destroy your life forever.-

He also gave us a heart.- A heart to feel love or hate, to do well or to harm other people. To help those who need it most, or to close our eyes to the misery of others.

Many people ignore that for every good deed, you will be rewarded,- and for every harm you cause, you will be punished.- Maybe not today or tomorrow, but sooner or latter you will receive what you deserve.-

He is a loving and forgiving God, but he also takes into consideration your actions in life.- He judges us. He is the only one who has the right to do it.

For many people, money is the most important thing in life.- They pray God for money and wealth, and blame God if they don't have it.-

Well, God is also extremely wise.- He knows that money is NOT the most important thing in life. There are millionaires and Billionaires that are so miserable and sad, they wish they could die.- There are also others who are terminally ill , and all the money in the world will not help to save them.

He knows that love and happiness is what matters.- Love in every sense of the word, love for family, friends, for humanity, even for every single defenseless animal.

Love is what brings happiness, and happiness is what brings love.

Helping those in need is another form of Love, working honestly and hard for your family is another form of love. Giving to help others, is another form of love.

Maintaining a happy marriage for the sake of your children is another form of love, being faithful to your wife or husband is another form of love.-

These people are the ones who will be rewarded, not as a gift, but because they deserve it.

Many people go to church on Sunday , confess their sins, do their penances and take communion, then on Monday they commit adultery thinking that they will confess next Sunday and next Monday they can go back to the same old thing.

They think that God will forgive them, as long as they confess and do penance, so they can do this over and over again.

How very wrong they are.- Do they really believe they can fool GOD ???

Others blame God for the loss of a child , a wife, a husband, a mother or father, or somebody they loved dearly.- They also blame God for Illnesses, Wars, destruction, earthquakes, Hurricanes and all possible tragedy that might happen.

The question is, why blame God for all these tragedies ??? He has a reason for every single thing that happens in the world. Maybe you and I can not understand the reason, but he does not expect US to understand his actions.

All we can do is accept his actions and ask him to help us bear the sorrow. He will never give us a load so heavy we can not handle.

But then again, this is something very difficult for many people to understand.- This is when we have to grab all the faith we might have, and hold on very, very TIGHT to that faith., and accept the fact that he "Has his reasons".- THIS IS WHAT THE WORD "FAITH" IS ALL ABOUT.-

He never promised us that "Life would be a bowl of Cherries".- He never told us that we would be eternally happy, HE never promised us that we would never get ill, HE never said that we would never have to worry about anything in this world.

All these things are part of our lives., and we must accept HIS will, regardless of how painful it might be.

Sooner or latter, we will be rewarded or punished.- Maybe not even in this life, but rest assured that the time will come, when HE decides "IT IS TIME".

After all is said and done., HE made the ultimate sacrifice..- "He sacrified his only beloved SON in order to save us".

Hi Eva, this is a very well written article. You laid your points out very well. Nice job. With respect, however, your statement "God does not give anything for free. You have to earn it.- You must work very hard for God to help you. He knows who deserves his help and who does not. " Is not Biblical in any way shape or form. In fact it goes against the very reason God sent His Son to die for humanity. The Bible talks about Grace as a gift. Not one we earn. Jesus said he came to seek and save those that are lost. Jesus said He did not come for those who didn't think they needed any help, but for those who realized their need for Him.

Please tell me what passages of Scripture lead you to believe we have to work very hard to earn God's help. THe only thing the bible tells us we earn is death--THe wages of sin (working for) is death, but the free gift (received, not earned) of God is salvation. You also said that Jesus didn't say we would never have to worry--did you mean to say that this implies its okay to worry? Because Jesus told us not to worry. True, our rewards are earned. Jesus said if you love me, keep my commandments. But never, not one place does it say we have to earn his help.

I do apolpogize for the lengthy comment and I do hope to hear back from you with some passages to share your position. Please understand, I am not trying to argue. But I love the Lord and those he is trying to reach and if I had to work hard to gain his help and favor, I would still be lost today. I just don't want others to read this and feel like all hope is lost, because they already feel they don't deserve God's love or help. That is not true. If that were the case, God would not have sent his son to die for any of us.

Thanks for you time. God bless you.
