I had made a decision not to write any more on the 2008 election coverage. Obviously, I have just changed my mind.

During this unusual election process it would seem as though we have seen more than the usual ugliness, prejudice and downright disrespect.

While assassination attempts are nothing new I would consider them evil and that ones involvement in such a conspiracy would apparently have some kind of mental and soul sickness. May God himself intervene and bring such a person to his knees.

CBS has reported that at least four people are under arrest in connection of a conspiracy to assassinate Barack Obama. Supposedly they were white power crazy people on methamphetamines!

While the group was attempting to commit this unthinkable crime they apparently weren't smart enough to consider such a heinous attack. They were under the influence of drugs, had fake identifications, high powered rifles, with one reported as stolen, wigs, bullet proof vests, walkie-talkies and 44 grams of methamphetamines.

With all the supplies to make an assassination attempt they decided to drive erratically to the planned place of the murder. One of the suspects admitted to the attempt. It was said that the plan was to kill Obama at his acceptance speech in Denver on Thursday.

Thank God that this attempt failed horribly. Maybe the criminals should think of a new career like maybe starring in the next episode of America's dumbest criminals.

With this new twist on the election coverage, we have now given both parties another opportunity to blame each other's parties for prejudice and so on and so on. Will it be longer now before we get a chance to hear where Senators Obama and McCain stand on the true issues of our country? That's just GREAT!

I understand that each one of us has their own opinion and idea of who should be in the White house and what they would like to see accomplished by whom they vote for. My question is this, "Isn't there enough chaos is the world? Why does anyone think they have the God given right to judge and take a life?"

While I am disgusted about this whole attempt, I find myself praying once again.

HEAVENLY FATHER, Our country is in much distress. Lord we need your help. Please keep our country safe and those who are trying to make a difference. I pray not only for the candidates but also for the people of our country. Please forgive those who do not believe and think they have the right to do your job. We need you Lord and call upon your name.

In Jesus name, Amen

Michelle, I also pray that these indivduals, along with any other like minded people, find solace in the Lord, and not attempt twisted acts in His name. This election is bringing wackos out of the woodwork. I say, enough already!

Thank you JD,

Enough already is long overdue. I still have a hard time believing that people have enough audacity to think they are in the position to play God and call the shots. Grrrr...

Blessings my friend,

Good article Michelle. It was only a matter of time before the kooks came out. It was inevitable in this election. Thank God Obama and his family and those at the convention were not injured.
