I am well chuffed, after years of failed dieting I have finally managed to attain my target weight. Now, apparantly, comes the hard part, being able to keep the weight off. With my new found weight loss techniques I am more than confident that I will be able to do this, I actually expect to lose even more weight, however in truth I do not really need to do this. In this article I will write about the ways in which I have managed to achieve this weight loss success.
Like, I am sure, many of the readers of this article, I have tried, and failed, many weight loss programs. I did try, perhaps not one hundred percent, to make them work but was ultimately left unimpressed with the results. Then I stumbled accross an article in my local newspaper, it was about a woman who had successfully lost all of her excess weight. In the article she gave what she described as the four components of her weight loss success. Here they are:
1. Get a dog! She realised that she needed to exercise far more than what she had been, however in general found exercise boring. She had the bright idea of buying a dog as she was sure that she would be able to lose weight by taking this dog on regular walks.
2. Check the calories and fat content of the food that you eat
She loved her food and therefore did not want to reduce the amount she was eating. Instead she realised that she needed to change the types of food that she was eating. I have since done this myself, I have been amazed just how many calories that are in certain foods, pasta is just one example.
3. Do not eat after 6pm
This lady is a staunch believer of not eating any food after six in the evening. This is due the fact that the body, in general, is unable to burn off the calories after this time.
4. Get an exercise bike
This woman admitted that she was a typical couch potato. She loved nothing better than relaxing on the evening watching the television. She realised that this was doing nothing for her weight therefore decided to purchase an exercise bike. She now cycles as she watches the T.V!
I was rather fortunate to have read her article as it is not a newspaper that I normally purchase, I sure am glad that I purchased it that night.
