Now think about that title hard. As I was sitting down late last evening an info commercial came on TV telling everyone about a huge Foreclosure Auction coming soon to our area. It advised us of all the bargains and it said hundreds of banks and financial companies were participating with their properties.
They started to list one. The first was a $240,000 4 bedroom home. It was being auctioned at a starting price of $49,000 and then they showed examples of the huge savings IF ONE WAS QUALIFIED TO BUY.
Now what does that mean "qualified to buy". That means "Credit Worthy". No, there aren't many average Americans who are "Credit Worthy" any longer. Now the thing that struck me was all the people sitting there bidding. They were the haves of America I speak about. They were all ages but I noticed the percentage of older buyers was significantly more.
Now I said to myself, as I had written to before, there is the proof, the confirmation as believers will say. That is when something comes exactly the same to you a second time. These companies have no problem auctioning off that property to the "haves" but they will rarely to never reduce the amount owed by the mortgage holder to help keep them in the home. Isn't the write off the same no matter who? Perhaps they could just take that "non Credit Worthy" person or family and turn their situation around and save a lot of jobs, tax dollars and rundown homes from appearing?
So as I watched a short while it struck me. Many of those in that hall are most likely professed believers. They consider themselves blessed, because of what they have. Yet the bottom line for them all was making money. Yes money off of the sorrows of others. In that I found NO God that I recognize or know. I found a God but a much different one that they follow.
So if you look at the circumstances with Foreclosure you will find, as I and many have pointed out, this law our leaders passed was for the benefit of those who have. They get all the tax and investment benefits average Americans don't get, by fact. Don't think so, stop on by my home and I will be happy to educate you on reality. Sure they talk about "first time buyers" yet, we must always be aware of the terms qualified and what that represents.
So the vase majority of young people they address really cannot be qualified to purchase by any number of today's factors. They have literally removed that from them. Yes like car loans. Don't believe it, well stop by any car dealer and find out for yourself.
Now in fairness to the banks some people are walking away from their mortgages. This is not a good or right thing as well. However, we must look at the underlying reasons. The first of course once again business and money. That is not in every case but some. It just doesn't make business sense to pay on a mortgage for a home worth 1/3 of what you purchased it for. Well, it is a risk you took many will say. Well hello, exactly the point so why didn't that apply to those we bailed out? Those big investment firms and Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac who We the People now own. Why doesn't that apply to insurance companies?
The next is people just can't afford to live in them any longer. Their insurance, taxes and perhaps cost of living has forced them out. Many old and late in life must start over. Many young families who had a decent job and lost it found themselves out on the street. Their dreams gone for good. Many have Credit Card Debt for any number of reasons and that doesn't have to mean they squandered and they now are being charged usury rates. To them it just may be no alternative but to survive?
The net result bad credit and the tag of "non credit worthy'.
So as you drive through your neighborhood you see the for sale signs. As one said recently to us, the entire town seems to be for sale. You will also see the homes that are run down, grass not kept, boarded up. The frequency of those growing each day. Of course you never see the empty homes no one is in and there are no tell tale signs and yes the home that people are still in but in Foreclosure. Waiting for the one to evict them to show at their door.
Now those investors must understand, you buy this home just who will live in it? We are using the term investing meaning rental income. Yet just who will buy and rent these homes? More of the same types plus the new credit worthy. They are the green card holders who hold the good American jobs of the people who once lived in those homes. They will be the foreigners who need another home to spend their American money on. They will be the haves of which there are many in this nation. Yes about 15% who really have and another 10% who can afford. Yes the $95,000 and above crowd that our candidates label "middle income Americans". No you will not find average, regular people. Why, Average Americans are no longer in the equation.
These politicians and yes our fellow Americans of wealth and that have are looking at the "middle income", that is upper middle income types and above because they are the voters that will win them this election. Yes and sadly that is who votes. That is the America the president spoke about when he said America has no problems. In my opinion he is correct because they don't.
These types take offense to the term whiners but in reality perhaps it is right? No I won't spell it out because they know what I am talking about. It can be seen in many daily activities. Yes it cost more, but are they "hurting"? You wouldn't know by the many seeking fortunes on the backs of those in trouble would you?
So for many it is true that Average Americans are no longer in the equation. They never were but it sure sounds good to voice that they are when running for election. Yes and God and country and people all sell real good as well as does Foreclosure help. Yes it is all in the perception. Yes, I'll bring down gas prices, see how they are dropping? Yes I'll bring back those good jobs, ok don't ask me how or when and who gets them. Yes I'll give you all a tax break, cough, cough, cough. Yes to those of you in Michigan and Ohio and Pennsylvania without jobs, don't worry, "we feel your pain", "your hurt". Yes and then they go out and make the laws that destroy you and work for them and their kind. Rhetorically, even though they profess all the time I venture to say you don't find God much in that house they work in any longer as well.
So when you see those advertisements take a peak around the room. It is like a betting pallor for people who have money to throw away. Looking for the winner that will bring in the bacon. However, when you go there don't look for God. God has compassion, mercy, love and what you will find at these locations in my opinion is none of that.
Why, well in the true believer in the God of Mercy, Compassion and Love, no, not just a professor of God. No the GOd I know who dwells within, brings those qualities to a person, their soul, their being. You become by fact the temple of God and your works flow from that foundation. Now just my opinion and really that means nothing, but you will find the world and all it has to offer at these sales and in that house of the people, but I venture to say quite confidently you will not find that God of compassion, mercy, love that mmany profess to believ in.
