So many people have been talking about the issue of climatic changes. Now we can say we have yet another reason to say that this is happening. It had never snowed in Kenya and people from Nyahururu in the Rift valley in Kenya were astonished at the wake when a heavy hailstrom brought tonnes of snow, a phenomenon that had never been witnessed before.

It has been quite cold this year in Kenya, and for a very long time, not usual. The low temepratures have been experienced since July and are still on, now that Kenyans thought it was all over, it seems they are still to experience some few more weeks in the cold. Of course people are not prepared in most cases as garments are usualy light and fit for a warm tropical weather.

I am posing a question to the community and this is if they think that the climatic changes are going to change the travelling patterns. For example, people who travel to Spain nomarlly do it to see the monuments, but also for it's rich gastronomy and of course the warm weather in the summer, though the beaches might not be the best of the world, the are of good quality. What if the canary Islands dissapeared, and most of the beaches are sallowed by the sea. Now in Kenya where people visit in the summer as this is when most are on holidays, they expect to be in a warm weather, but if the climate change is here to stay and it starts snowing in August and September in Kenya, will this drive away tourists from visiting the national parks, though most are located in the lowland areas where it is usually hot? I am already seeing Kenyans offering summer holidays packages for ski lovers, though it sounds strange for me being a Kenyan.

I hope the world is going to do more, we have to fight against this phenomenon to make sure that we leave a better world for the future generations.
