We have witnessed one of the greatest miracles of this short century and even perhaps the last, The Miracle of the pump.. A record plunge in oil prices in a shorter time then it took to get where it was. Yes that will sure show you where good leadership is and what it is all about.
With an economy in shambles and ready to collapse and oil through the roof, along comes the month of November and with it "Thanksgiving", oh yes and I do recall there is something else happening right about then isn't there?
Strange how things all have a way of working out for the best. Yes and those of you who said this economy was gone. See we told you. We sure as hell let those speculators know what we were going to do if they didn't stop what they were doing, right? Yes and look how well the surge in Iraq went. It took every available able bodied person but we can finally expect our troops out in a few more years or so, perhaps? Look they even turned Anbar province over to the Iraq government who would have expected that? Yes it will be a good Thanksgiving and yes I do recall something else is happening in November. I just can't put my finger on it.
We all know how well things are going, right? Hey there are less people filing for unemployment and why should we worry about those who are off the roles. They don't really count anyway. Yes it looks like a really good Thanksgiving after all for many of us Americans who have. Oh and yes, I do believe there is something else in November that takes place?
Yes and you see how well that foreclosure bill worked. Yes we are finally seeing a stabilization in the housing market due to those investors who can't lose a damn nickel because We the People own all the risk. hey one local politician says lets use tax dollars to fix up the houses so they can sell. Yes homes owned by investors. Why aren't they fixing them up instead of letting them go to waste? Smart thinking and you know many who have $$$$ love him. Yes we can all have a great Thanksgiving, that is most of us that have but for the life of me I do think something else is going on in November that is important but for the life of me it slips my mind.
Yes and after the new year, well who wants to jump that far ahead. Hey, after all these same people who brought this mess upon many will be right there again to keep the ship heading in the right direction. Yes it is a test of a nations character and I must say you who have well you sure showed yours.
Oh, now I recall, the election. That's right. We will make change. Yes we will change Presidents by nature of person. Congress, well how can we change that after the fine job they have done as mentioned above. Well you can't. Why the same ones will be there and "That's a fact jack" as the line in the movie goes. Yes the ones who don't give a damn, don't care, don't know, incapable, greedy / self centered, what is in it for me, the haves will still be there, fact, not fiction.
Yes and then you will know what I am speaking to and what The Miracle of the pump really is.
