Live on a busy road, where motorists disobey the speed limit, endangering your family? Cut out the speeding with a simple, effective cardboard life size cut out.

You’ll be sure to grab the attention of a speeding motorist with a life size cutout of a police officer, or child, for example. Most of us wouldn’t speed past a child or police officer, and wouldn’t take the expensive chance if it’s a cardboard cut-out or a real person.

Utilizing cardboard cut-outs for safety purposes isn’t a new idea. In Romania , the government has been using cardboard cut-out highway cops in order to slow down aggressive drivers. Cardboard cut-outs can be more effective than writing tickets in the way they get drivers in the habit of slowing down at any particular spot, rather than having them pull away and start speeding again.

Fighting a growing problem of aggressive drivers, the Neenah Police Department in Wisconsin has been using cardboard cut-outs to successfully slow motorists. Police officers use cardboard cut-outs for two days, and return with a real police officer on the third day.

“It's all about making people look down at their speedometer and slow down." – Officer Pamela; Neenah Police Department , Washington .

Cardboard cut-outs are lightweight and durable, making them easy to move from location to location, so drivers wont get accustomed to the location of the cutout officer. Using cardboard cut-out police officers helps keep motorists alert and on their toes, while freeing the officer that would normally have to sit there and allowing them to pursue “real" crime.
