• Vivid-Lime-Green Peridot is one of the most popularly known Peridot emerald.

• Volcanic emerald and the evening emeralds are the spectacular gemstones and they are widely used to elaborate the August birthstone. Being one of the most attractive and charming gemstone on the planet, it is worn by many people from around the globe.

• The Red Sea island of St. Johns brings out the real story of Peridot which shows exorbitantly priced Dark-Green-Peridot-Gemstones.

• "Evening Emerald" is the name given to a green gemstone known as Peridot. Numerous historians believed that the worn out stones worn by Cleopatra were truly of the Peridot style. Peridot is taken to bring to its wearer fortuity and victory; it is also the birthstone for the month of August.

• Most of the emeralds available in the U.S. ranged till about 3 carats.

• Pricing, in the case of evening emeralds is based on its carat weightage, though the smallest engraved Peridot beads are quite cheap.

• China and Pakistan are the suppliers of the biggest emeralds there is. Pakistani emeralds are quire in demand and are very valuable too.

• The Peridot is known as "Goddess Pele's Tears" in the regions of Hawaii. The beaches in Hawaii are filled with tiny grains of Peridot which cannot be carved upon owing to their tiny size.

• Ground Peridot was used as a cure for asthma not so long ago.
