Have you been questioning whether or not you really need to have a fireplace screen? It's a common question for sure, so here's some things to consider. Fireplace screens play an important role in owning a fireplace. They are also a very elegant addition to the traditional grandness of some of the nicest homes.

Whether you enjoy a more modern/contemporary design, or a vintage design, they can be great compliments to anything you have in your room. Normally, a more vintage antique design will add a touch of the past along with elegance to your home, giving it that old style feeling.

As far as safety is concerned, fireplace screens protect your home from sparks of fire. Safety is a very important factor and you must take the necessary precautions to protect your family. Owning a fireplace is a wonderful thing, but not taking the proper safety precautions is an irresponsible thing to do. Fires happen every year due to the absence of screens or fireplace doors. The last thing you want is a fire in your home due to something that could have been prevented easily and also added a nice touch to your home as well.

People actually place a lot of value on their screens and it is a normal part of interior design for millions of homes. There are floral designs, brass and gold designs with a copper finish, scroll designs that are historic looking and almost royal like, etc. It all really depends on the personal preference of the home owner themselves. Fireplace screens also aid in hiding ashes and burnt firewood logs that are in the fireplace. There are two panels on either side that you can adjust to have a better view of the hearth from multiple angles.

They have been used to decorate and protect homes since the times of the first thirteen colonies. Many designs nowadays are still in the spirit of the antique, colonial traditional style and are often hand carved or hand painted. I think it is obvious that fireplace screens are an important addition to any home with a fireplace.
