Autumn fashion - I am not sure as to where the audience drawn to this article is from, but if you are a UK resident, then you will agree that summer has been and gone, or should I say never been, so no need to go. This is a time we have to adjust to changes this season brings and that being "cold damp weather." As much as the four seasons is loved they can prove to be costly indeed, affecting our pockets severely having to dress up or dress down. Well now the beefing is over, let us accept that the fall is upon us and adapt.
If you have money issues, then hold on to that summer frock and shoes. Just because the cold wind blows is no reason to get in debt. A strapless dress can be dressed up with a cardigan, bolero jacket, shoulder wrap or poncho. Open shoes if not raining can be worn with socks. Socks don`t come in black and white only, they come in beautiful designs and color. Look at the "change in the weather" is a saying we have heard a lot of lately, so more the reason for booking a flight out of here, but because money problems prevail you have to stay and weather the storm.
Changing your wardrobe can be expensive so look for other ways to blend in with the environment at a price you can afford, or no cost at all by using your loaf.
Autumn fashion collections are already in stock on shop shelves. Designers trustworthy of their name are the ones to follow if money is no object. Tartan is favored for the fall. Tartan is fabulous to mix and match because most come varied in plaid color which makes it a doddle choosing a suitable match. Trendy collections for autumn display garments with an architectural silhouette. Overcoats in particular, created shapely and sculptured, with stand away collars, bell sleeves and skirts. New shapes can be worn loose and simple, or with a belt creating your own silhouette.
Autumn fashion shows Matthew Williamson`s work Emilio Pucci's at its best, with signature graphic prints in cool alpine shades of blue, mauve, silver and jade green. The collection includes classic Pucci frocks. Coats cut in a large oval shape and ski pant skinny leggings. Snowflake and icicle patterns feature on dresses, necklaces and tops, giving a fresh and crisp edge to the collection. Perhaps icicles and snowflakes are not to your liking, if so then all the more reason to fashion up your own ideas - making fashion your own.
Nina Ricci sticks with the younger, edgier path. Autumn fashion by Nina is dominated by a wealth of colors (bronze, gold, brown and ochre.) Layering is prominent, with flowing chiffon blouses designed for wearing underneath a tailored jacket. Featuring baggy trousers tapered below the knee, blazers and coats with a round shouldered silhouette. Lanvin women's wear features a dark palette of slate grey, smoky silver and elegant blacks. Although dominated by a clean, elegant silhouette, all pieces finely detailed, with skirts and dresses in horizontal layers of pleats and encrusted tops
Alexander McQueen's collection is a blend of romance, dark gothic and Victoriana. Tailoring is adopted on black lace and knits, contrasting with full skirts in white and cream. This is a man of many talents and it certainly shows in his creations.
If you are prepared to create your own chic designs then just keep in mind the color for autumn 2008 and take it from there. Stick with reds purples blues and browns and you cannot go wrong. Think rich colors, inky midnight and burnt earth tones, all cool trendy colors. Fashion is all about feeling good and liking what you wear, however if comfort is not there then fashionable comes not into the equation. Having to breathe in, having to watch your balance in
4inch heels or having to watch others look better than you - because you are not shaped for today`s fashion. Does this not tell you your own creations are the most ideal because tailored through personal taste.?
