How many women do you know, who, in a quest to look beautiful is not looking at the same time for ways to save money? Sadly, choice is zilch for some women - having to pay extortionate prices for those cosmetics which keeps the skin young, lips luscious, and hair healthy, - even down to affording a gymnasium membership to shape, firm and tone the body. Hey ladies what if there were a magic wand which could "swish" and grant your "wish," of having affordable beauty products. Well you will go to the ball; your wish is my command.

Hair

Save money on hair products by going online. Beauty suppliers give free samples of shampoo, conditioners and hair colorants in return for filling out surveys or leaving an email address. Healthy hair can be achieved using foods you eat. Your pantry edibles will not have you laying out money you can ill afford. Not only is making your own hair concoctions a rewarding aspect, it is what you learn at the same time of doing so.

What springs to mind when the word chicken is mentioned, yes "eggs" Raw egg solutions gives hair a lustrous sheen and makes the best conditioner. Egg assets have great impact on dull, drab, dry and brittle hair, retaining texture through it`s vital elements.

  • For strong healthy hair, mix 2 egg yolks with 2 tsp castor oil. The slimy gooey mixture is massaged into the hair, a sloppy process, but if it results in a mane of tresses full of vitality, "Give us more goo". Leave for 15 minutes and rinse off.
  • Whisk two raw eggs and with a gentle finger massage rub through the hair. Let it dry. Shampoo the hair and add vinegar before rinsing. After 4 weeks using this remedy the hair will look and feel soft, smooth and silky.
  • Conditioning treatments - Beat an egg yolk until frothy. Add a small tsp of baby oil and whisk wildly. Add water and apply over the scalp then rinse off.
  • Using egg yolk again, only this time with a 1/4 cup of yogurt and lime skin. This solution uses all 3 ingredients. This hair treatment can be time consuming, but worth the wait. Apply mixture to each strand of hair. Leave for 10 minutes and rinse off.
  • Take a whole egg and lemon juice. Whisking the two together and applying it to the hair will clear dullness. Let settle for 10 minutes and wash off.
  • Using 1/2 tsp olive oil and egg yolk whipped until frothy and added to 3/4 cup of warm water - creates a fab conditioner. Massage solution onto the hair and leave for few minutes.

Skincare

Skin treatments and particular beauty products can cost the earth. If you think clever and make use of all that grows in the earth, it need not. Facial masks provide the skin with the much needed elements which display a younger looking complexion.

The banana, sour cream and honey compilation is wonderful for treating the skin

  • Pulp 1/2 banana, add 1 tablespoon honey and 2 tablespoons sour cream. Smooth over the face and leave for 10 minutes. Use a damp flannel or tissue to remove.
  • The cornmeal mixture is an effective facial treatment. Ladle 2 tablespoons of cornmeal mixed with enough water to thicken, whisk till pasty. Apply to face and rinse off.
  • Using a food blender add Ingredients which include 1/2 cucumber, tablespoon yogurt, couple of strawberries, and teaspoon of honey. Blend and leave to settle. After application, allow to dry so it can go to work on the skin. Rinse off with cold water it is more refreshing,
  • Mash half of an avocado and apply to every inch of the face. Let set for 20 minutes and wipe off with damp flannel or tissue. Another much favored fruit solution is the apricot facial mask. Soak 1 cup dried apricots in water until squashy, add. 2 tablespoons skim milk powder. Put into blender till pasty and apply. Gently wash application off the face.
  • Although cucumber is great for treating tired puffy eyes, it is also, if mixed with yoghurt a fabulous way for cleansing the skin. Puree 1/2 skinned cucumber in food processor and add tablespoon yogurt. Smother the face with mixture and leave for 20 minutes. Gently wipe off using a damp flannel/hand towel.

Eyes

Keeping the eyes healthy can save you money. Treatments for puffy swollen eyes can be expensive. Prevent causes to avoid hefty costs. Include vitamins into your daily diet. Vitamin A is accountable for the strength and power of the eyes. Orange and yellowy colored fruit and vegetables, like carrots, pumpkins mangoes and oranges all contain vitamin A. Dark green vegetables also contain the vitamin. Eat more spinach and coriander. Reduce risk of cataracts by adding vitamin C into your diet.

  • Help strengthen weak eyesight by drinking raw parsley and carrot juice.
  • Conjunctivitis you can treat with sugar and coriander. Pestle into powder and add to boiling water. Put a lid on and leave standing for 60 minutes. Sieve using a clean cloth. Use the filtrate as eye drops.
  • Milk and almonds treat eye redness. Put almonds in milk and leave overnight. Mix milk with sandalwood. Gently apply onto eyelids.
  • Breathing in the smell of sesame mixed with honey to help reduce extreme wateriness.

Overall healthy eyes can be achieved by taking two small pieces of cardamom. Pestle and dissolve in milk. Add to saucepan and bring to a boil, drink before bed.

Lip care

Aside from being strongly connected to lung cancer, smoking is a common cause of dark lips. Particular treatments can remedy this. Clarified butter or olive oil provides soft pink lips. Almond oil and lime juice is great for ridding dark lips. As with all cosmetics it should be removed of a night along with residue lipstick. Drinks containing caffeine can cause dark lips. Lipsticks containing sunscreen helps prevent tanning of lips. Clarified butter is best applied before sleep, as it keeps lips supple. Ignore cheap lipsticks. Pigmentation of lips by the ultra violet radiation is deterred by using moisturizers with a high SPF (sun protection factor.) Never initiate the guinea pig trial on yourself by using unfamiliar products. Seek advice from your doctor first.

Remember, powder and colored paint is only adornment. Natural beauty is what you cover with cosmetics, so, not the real you on display. A false identity you take on when you paint those lips, shadow the eyes and redden the cheeks. Don`t mask what is truly beautiful.
