Giving yourself self encouragement when you live in a miserable marriage is a hard battle to fight. Why ? Because you have to fight yourself. When you have to fight yourself just to keep your sanity, holding on to what's left of your peace of mind can be difficult.
It's a very hard battle, because you have to look inside yourself for strength. Until you find and can look inside to find your inner and better self don't expect things to change.
The good thing is this, when you find yourself, then you can expect to excel yourself, by not living in fear of what might happen or what has happened. Start expecting better of yourself and by raising your expectations of yourself and believing in yourself.
Self praise may sound vain, but sometimes you need to compliment yourself by saying simple things such as I am a good person or I am a good mother, Lord knows you are a good wife , after all you've put up with his nonsense for years.
Everybody is good at something, so don't let someone else's derogatory actions stop you from being all that you can be. Once you start regaining your self esteem, by staying encouraged, believing and investing in yourself you will start to do more.
Build up your self confidence by rising above negative remarks and shaking off his faults. Always feel valuable to yourself and you will be amazed at how you will begin to feel knowing that you have risen above his level and are no longer at his level or below it.
Galatians 5:22
But the first of the Spirit is Love. Joy, Peace, Long Suffering, Godliness, Goodness and Faith.
