More thoughts on the PGA Tour's so-called playoff format.

I heard on the Golf Channel during Friday's first round of the Deutsche Bank Championship that if Vijay Singh wins again this week he will just about wrap up the FedEx Cup and therefore win the playoffs. As I mentioned in an earlier post this is a joke. How can it be playoffs if the champion is virtually crowned 2 weeks in to a four week playoff. Should the Celtics have been given the NBA title after they beat Cleveland or Detroit. Maybe the Patriots really did win the NFL title because they won every game until the Super Bowl. Why not just give them the trophy because they were the best for most of the playoffs.

The PGA's version of playoff's is truly silly, what incentive is there left for the other players, if they know they can't win after the second week. How can you promote a four week playoff, if it's basically over after two? Come on PGA tour, you surely can come up with a better way of doing this thing. Had Tiger not gotten hurt he probably would have won the playoffs after The Barclays last week.

Let's get it together Tim Finchem and figure out a true playoff scenario, so us fans can enjoy a true playoff champion.
