What is the deal with printing quotes? Many marketing and business tips are voicing out the importance of having printing quotes in your advertising and marketing campaigns. To avoid confusion and for your information, here is a little primer on everything you need to know about

What are printing quotes?
Print quotes or printing estimates are rough estimates of the cost that you will incur when you print a particular product or avail of a certain service. You need printing estimates when you want figures or numbers to help you plan and have an effective budget.

Whatever your purposes for printing your materials are, be it in advertising or in marketing, you need an accurate printing estimate in order to have better control over your budget. And while the printing estimates just represent the rough sum of the cost that you might incur, it is still important to you because they allow you to approximate how many prints you can produce and how many prints that you can produce. And because estimates are only approximations, you need to know that these prices can change depending on several factors.

•    Cost of shipping – sometimes printing companies offer free ground shipping but sometimes they charge for shipping.
•    Taxes – when taxes rise, the cost of printing also gets up and vice versa.
•    Special offers and discounts – discounts are not included in the printing estimates. Just ask the printing company if they are having any special promos or offers.
•    Professional fees – while many printing companies offer editing and file checking options for free, there are others who charge for it.
•    Custom and personalized options – custom additions in your prints will make the print cost soar.

So all in all, here are some things that you should remember:

• Printing estimates might show you changes in the product cost only and not show any changes in shipping costs or any other additional fees. You need to ask for details in your printing estimates so that you can be sure of the things that you are paying for. If there are no other costs incurred, then the printing estimate that you got may well be the final cost that will be paying.

• Changes in the printing estimates can go both ways. While some of the print prices might go up, check the other products because they may go down in cost.

These are the details that you need when obtaining or getting your print estimates
The printing estimates that you have are very dependent on the details that you put in your prints. The inputs referred here are the order and design specifications of your project. The four most common product specifications used to have a printing estimate are the paper stock, size, the number of copies and turn around time.

The turn around time of refers to the number of days it takes your product to be finished. The paper stock is the type of paper that you use in your prints. typically, the thicker the paper, the more expensive it becomes. Project size is the dimensions of your prints – meaning the length and the width. And of course the number of copies is self explanatory.

printing quotes provides clients an estimated prices on your print jobs. More on this topic can be found at Color Printing Wholesale
