Legal Separation is the preliminary step before the court awards a divorce decree. Usually the husband and wife do not live together. Each state has its own laws regarding the period of separation before divorce.

This article was very informative and took some of the 'scare ' out of getting forms off the internet. Especially, the common sense of checking with a lawyer, law center or library, to see if forms are accurate. When your going through things, even the common sense; knowledge, is hard to recall. Thanks I appreciated this.
