I've learned, through my own struggles with money and observing other people over the years, that when we put saving money into the too "hard basket" and make excuses why we can't save we actually talk ourselves into it.

Therefore you MUST have the right mind set.

Follow these rules for saving money

You must WANT the help to get out of debt and have the will power to start.

You must also be PASSIONATE about putting in the necessary effort and sacrifices.

You must realise the importantance of saving money for your financial security and that it's imperative you stay focused to be successful.

You must make a commitment with yourself that you WON'T GIVE UP and have the endurance to follow through.

Mind sets affect people's attitudes and their choices produce good or bad result. Spending money causes debt. Saving money causes more money.

Questions to Asks to Short Circuit Impulse Buying

If you have problems spending money, here are some questions to ask yourself before you purchase something;

    • Do I need it?
    • Do I want it?
    • Will I really use it?
    • Will I still like it in the next month/year?
    • Is the price likely to reduce during an upcoming sale?
    • If I like it that much, do I like it that much that I will make a special trip later to buy it?

Find a Money Buddy

Finding a Money Buddy like a friend, family member or partner to assist you with your goal of saving money will help you to be more successful. Or you could form a money group and meet regularly for discussions to keep each other on track.

Everything is always easier if you are "lent a helping hand". With help to create the right mind set you will save money.
