Amazingly, there is no rehab center for people that have "love addiction" and not "sex addiction." Perhaps, there are these kinds of rehabitation center out there but I am not aware of. Perhaps, most people with a broken heart could easily get over their loved ones; or perhaps, there is no life threatening for "love addiction." Especially, there is no medication for this kind of mental illness or group talk to support those people with the same problem.
If I have this particular problem, everybody has a perfect solution for me to ease my pain. For those that don't have a doctor degree in psychology as well as someone with the degree, they all have a perfect solution for me to ease my pain and sufferings. The solution is quite simple enough: "Just don't think about him and get yourself busy." How hard can it be right? It was like telling an alcoholic individual to stop drinking. If you think about the concept, they are absolutely right . For instance, if you feel hurt when you move your finger then stop moving your finger!
Other advise that I have heard over ther years is: "Talk to someone like family members and friends." I agree some real friends are willing to hear about your sadness and borrow their shoulders for you to lean on or sneeze on. But for others, whenever they see your sad face, they will start running a mile away before you have a chance to say something. Honestly, everybody has his/her own problem. Who wants to listen to your depressing story?
Unfortunately, human emotion does not work that way. Humans are not born with a build-in switch inside their brains to turn it on and off whenever they want to. In regard to love, I believe people have to go through life as same as people with other kind of sickness; not to mention people with suicidal thoughts while trying to cope with the thought of losing their beloved.
