Online Contests and Sweepstakes have evolved huge on the world wide web. I'm sure everyone has entered contests and sweepstakes one time in there lives (weddings, stags, parties, etc). The same is for online contests and sweepstakes, except it's free.

Every contest and sweepstakes I have entered did not charge me a dime to enter. Usually the website promoter will ask for your personal information (name and address). In case you win, they will need this information for the shipment of the prize. The last thing they ask you for is your e-mail address. They do this to verify a valid and true vote as opposed to a fake/invalid vote from an internet robot. Some people will setup internet robots or programs to ruin a contest or to take advantage of the contests with multiple votes from the same person. This of course is always unsuccessful due to e-mail verifications.

Why do I love online contests and sweepstakes so much? Probably because it takes a couple of minutes to enter and the fact that I have won big prizes at a few occasions (7day trip valued at $1500, $3000 cash, 52" Samsung 1080p LCD). I work in an office environment so I'm on a PC all day. This is how I got started a few years back (bored in the office) and a friend told me about a few sites offering free contests and sweepstakes. I've been hooked ever since :)

Thank you for reading and best of luck in your contests and sweepstakes.
