So you want to become a writer? I ask myself if I am in a position to provide you with the information you seek. In all honesty I am not sure if I am the ideal candidate to tell you what it is you want to know. Nonetheless obliged to share with you how I came to write articles and website content.

It was quite by chance how it all came about. I owe a debt of gratitude to a brother who set the ball in motion. Des, (brother) was always looking for ways to better his life; he was a fighter getting back up from every hurdle that knocked him down. He overcame setbacks that would have had the strong willed give up. He still goes strong to this day trying new things, however not a millionaire as of yet, but earning a living. God loves a Trier and so does this sister. There was this one day when he asked me could I write an article, of course this panicked me because I had never did anything like this before. Yes I admit I loved writing, but, sharing what I wrote with others was another matter. Also the sense of being incapable or believing my writing was crap was a bold thought holding me back. Anyhow Des was desperate, he was on a mission to conquer - and I was to do the conquering at that particular time.

My first article I wrote was called "Bullfight Blues." Looking back now I find it hard to forgive myself for ever submitting it to an article directory. I remember the day well - pondering whether to press the article submission button or not. Grammar and spelling were never my best subjects at school (thank god for spell check) and still to this day still isn`t. After some considerable thought and thinking what have I got to lose but a saddened ego if my article is declined, I sat down to pen my first article. Can you imagine the joy when acceptance was given? I now enjoy writing articles on a regular basis in hope that my chosen topics on what I write help others in some way or other. How do you shake a man`s hand in a paper message, this I do not know, but if you are reading this Des, visualize my hand clasped tightly in yours.

If you want to become a writer, whether it is writing stories, poetry or just in general providing information about your favorite topics then you must not let anything stand in your way. Granted, it is a bonus to have a degree in English and maybe creative writing, however not the end of the road if you do not. It never stopped me. You will be surprised at what you learn and pick up along the way. If you have a 'way with words', and able to clearly explain yourself through words in order to get what it is you want to say across to your readers - then you certainly have the qualities of a writer.

Just think of yourself as a writer. If you write anything more complex than a to-do list, you're a writer. There are no hidden secrets behind writing. If you are serious an unsure as to how article writing transpires, then visit an article directory site to find out how other authors have their own special technique in conveying their thoughts and give information. There is no time like the present so get your thinking cap on, no time for procrastination.

Avoid delaying yourself from following your dream because not only are you letting yourself down, but the millions of people who can learn from you, or just plain simply loves to hear what you have to say.

Is this the opportunity you have been waiting for, if so, what are you waiting for. Go on give it a go. You have nothing to lose and everything to gain.

Thank you Terry. Would you believe I was a little apprehensive on submitting this article because I felt it was not enough. Nonetheless I did say there was a lot to be learned from other writers. My first lesson is to ignore my negative way of thinking and listen to "those" in the "know," at this present time I refer to you Terry as Mr Know.

Thank you again

Kacy
